I have not been personally, but my cousin swears by Lengthwise in Bakersfield whenever he drive through there for food and good beer. They have a tasting room and a separate pub, so make certain you go to the correct one for food.

If you roll 99 through Bakersfield a trip to Lengthwise might be worth it. Haven't had their stuff after Kyle left Kern River and started brewing there. Maybe someone local can comment on whether their (Lengthwise) stuff is substantially improved and worth a stop.

Lengthwise had great food, and pretty good beer. A few were really good, but nothing was great. I was there like 2 weeks ago.

I second this, although quite a bit off hwy 99, but their beer is the best in the Fresno area (no offense to TS, which also makes great beer).

Cheers everyone - managed to hit up Fieldwork and New Glory on the way up and stopped back by Fieldwork on my way down for the Saturday and Sunday releases.
