I have a question for anyone who has tried La Vermontoise; the collaboration beer from Hill Farmstead and Brasserie la Blaugies. Several people (myself included) have noted that there is a certain (difficult to pinpoint) aroma in this beer, it has been described as both earthy and musty, some might have even been referencing this when they refer to the straw and hay aromas present. My question is this, does anyone know any commercially available beers that contain this aroma or even a flavor resembling said aroma? Unfortunately I cannot get Hill Farmstead or La Blaugies easily and I am trying to build a familiarity with this particular characteristic but I am having considerable trouble finding beers that have it. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
