Yep, somebody had to ask it, so why not me? What beers are looking forward to trying during the long holiday weekend? Or, what beers are geeked to revisit or enjoy during BBQ's, get-togethers, etc.

For me, since my wife and I are expecting our first child any day now - her due date is tomorrow, though we're pretty sure our daughter will be late at this point - I'm looking for something sessionable and easy drinking. I usually reach for SN Pale, Prima, or Rev's Fist City - will probably opt for a few of each.

    Your turn. Go.

Given your location, I'd start with a Eugene Porter (Revolution B), since it will be easily available.

Really love this year's SN Oktoberfest. My market only got a handful of 12 packs, at least for now, so I snapped one up and am trying to savor it/save a few for cooler temps.

I am looking forward to some fall beers and a bunch of the new releases. I know my local guys all have their Oktoberfest beers tapped and also some other speciality beers so that is my aim this coming weekend. I also am craving some Chimay so I may splurge and get a couple to sip.

Also, speaking of sessionable beers, any suggestions for newish session beers I should check out during the long weekend?

Gonna be in Boston and Maine this weekend. So I guess whatever is good around there. We will see. I know we are doing the Sam Adams tour. Anyone got any must go places while there?

I'll be enjoying 1 of the 6 homebrews I've got on tap...

    1. 007 single hopped IPA
    2. Mandarina Bavaria single hop IPA
    3. Rye IPA with Citra and Mosaic
    4. Southern Cross hopped Rye Brett Saison
    5. Peach Sour
    6. Citra single hopped IIPA brewed with wild yeast

At some point in the weekend, I'll also be brewing the yearly Pumpkin beer, which will be a Rye Pumpkin IPA, a Pekko single hop IPA and possibly a Wookey Jack clone too.

Going to the mountains to close up the cottage. I went through my stash and grabbed some bottles that should be consumed due to age. 4 farmhouse ales form Hill Farmstead that are almost 2 years old, a couple of bottles of Yeti that are just as old and I bottle of Stone Vertical from 2012. I am also bringing a case of Coors Banquet Beer to share.

I have a backlog of beer that needs addressed, including a fantastic looking thing called Big Juicy Dank or something like that, a Crucial Taunt and IdontwanttoBU from The Veil and at least two more Oracles. Then we have the new beer Sunday lineup that has some far lesser known Michigan beers and a Pretty Things beer I've been saving.

I also need to mow the lawn, so that will give me a chance to clear my fridge of those pesky Bud Lights I bought before my newly established ABInBev embargo. One could suggest that I should simply toss them, but I still paid for them - damn it all if I toss the bastards!

More than likely on the Eastern Shore of VA this weekend, planning a trip to either Burley Oak (Berlin MD), Rubber Soul (Salisbury MD) or Tall Tales (between Salisbury and Ocean City), or some combo of these 3.

You should end up with plenty. My understanding is they do multiple releases of their seasonals.
