Maybe I can get my hands on the latest Grimm release, but I'm not holding my breath.

This weekend and all of next week we will be in the Boston area on a trip, so we will be stopping at around 10 different breweries.

Labor Day weekend means it's lake time. As always that means there will be a couple 4-packs of both COOP F5 & Horny Toad in the cooler, Miller Lite (for the ladies & to use for Beersbee), Lost Forty Love Honey, Ozark Pale Ale & SN Oktoberfest. Bombers for the evenings include: Mother's Imperial Three Blind Mice Bermuda Style, Stone Southern Charred (2015), & Boulevard Rye-on-Rye X Sazerac Cocktail.

Well, since Labor Day is the mythical end of summer & the beginning of fall, you could start with hefeweizens, transition to Kölsches, then some blondes and/or session pale ales (with or without the "I"), then a few top quality Pils, and then end the weekend with the Oktoberfests!

I just got a beer of the month pack from Craft Beer Cellar in Fort Collins. Most Oktoberfests and pumpkin beers which I'm not super thrilled about. So this weekend's beers will likely be:

    Avery The Kaizer Imperial Oktoberfest
    Santa Fe Oktoberfest
    Dry Dock Imperial Pumpkin
    Southern Teir Warlock
    Sierra Nevada - Mahrs Oktoberfest
    Fort Collins Oktoberfest

I will be quite the Oktoberfest expert by Monday.

Demo Tape Five: American Brown Porter from Exhibit 'A' Brewing (in the old Jack's Abby space)
Have a few cans of assorted Burlington Beer Co beers to try
I've got a bottle of Rubens (Belgian-style dark ale aged in oak barrels with cherries, cacao nibs, and coffee beans) from Night Shift my Brother in-law is begging me to crack open. Maybe we will light a fire and enjoy that one.

Picked up a few fresh IPAs for the weekend: Hailstorm Cumulus, Mikerphone Special Sauce 7, Pipeworks Simcoe and Mosaic Ninja.

Also got a 12-pack of the SN Oktoberfest and the SN fall variety pack along with the Bells Oktoberfest for my draft party/labor day cookout.

Other than that I might grab something nice out of the cellar to drink for ND's opening game. Go Irish!

What is it about Brooklyn Lager? I loved it the first time I had it, went through the IPA phase, wondered if I would still like it and can't quit.

    SN Oktoberfest
    Firestone Union Jack
    Southern Tier 2xIPA 16oz cans
    Troegs Hop Knife

Lagunitas 12th of Never Ale is a great session-able (and hoppy) suggestion. Won't break the bank either.

    Cheers!
