posted before: driving to laconia next week for a convention( harry potter dont judge) and hitting some local breweries. Are there any bottle shops in new hampshire that may get some decent distro?
Case n' Keg, as above, has a decent enough selection. The owners/workers also don't really care too much about beer, so they aren't useful if you want to shoot the breeze with them as you shop. Also, it is in a scuzzy area of Laconia, so that reflects in the foot traffic and some of the products they push. Also, the only bottle limits they do is on BCBS and KBS. Other than that, they give 0 F's. Now, if you don't mind driving another 15 or so minutes (assuming the Harry Potter convention is at the same place it was the past few times), Case n' Keg in Meredith is a much better bottle shop. The people there know way more about beer and the selection is better. Only bad part is, everything costs $1-2 more than the Laconia one. If you are coming from the south (ie, I93), there is the Smoke and Barley on Rt 3 between Tilton (exit 20) and Laconia. They are much smaller than either of the two above, but they can also have an odd selection of stuff the others don't.
I agree. Hit up the case n keg in Meredith. One employee there jared, I believe, is very knowledgeable with beer. Most of them are there and they have a much better selection of craft beers. I do most of my beer shopping there. If you find yourself in Plymouth check out chase street market right on main street but be warned that they do change a little more than usual but they have a pretty good selection. Also biedermans downstairs from them has good sandwichs and an awesome selection of beer on tap
