Hey all, any recommendations for bottle shops in the lafayette area? Im in town for the weekend and looking to try great brews not available to me on the west coast. I prefer barrel aged stouts, porters, barley wines and big beers in general but am always willing to try good local stuff too. So far Ive only picked up some founders dirty bastard at the grocery store, any chance of finding backwoods?
No backwoods as far as I know. The only good bottle shops are Marcellos, Ambassador Wine and Phillipes. I strongly recommend getting ahold of Parish's special once a year beers (big barleywine, big stout) that came out this weekend. They are supposed to be shipped this week around town.
Ya I checked out whole foods already, it's one of my main places at home in California. Got some FBS there, good stuff. Also lucked out and got some bcbs 2014, I thought I would miss the initial release due to being away from home so that was a nice surprise.
