What they did to sucks this year was cold blooded.

Any word on Extra yet? Sounds tasty for the 4th.

A few cases appeared at my local grocery in northeast Ohio. They do a lot of Lagunitas business but this was the first time I saw them there. Good stuff - was tasty on the 3rd as well. Nighttime and extra planned for the 4th.

Sumpin' Extra is fantastic. It won't make you miss Sucks. Trust me.

Extra is great! They had 1 month bottles of Sucks at the Swag shop in Petaluma and I didn't even think twice about passing them up for the 2 week old sixers of Extra.

So they are selling extra at the petaluma pub but not distributing it to California yet?

Other than Petaluma (and I guess Chicago now), has anyone seen even somewhat fresh Sucks lately? Only January here in East Bay CA.

I guess. They have six packs at the brewery, but I haven't seen any at any local stores.

And I drove RIGHT by the brewery the other day on mcdowell but my dad needed to check his tires so we didn't go. Damn. I hope the beer isn't just sitting in the warehouse getting old.

A new shipment came by San Jose a few weeks ago "154" and it wasn't good. Tasted old. Like they just slapped a new date on an old bottle.

I bought two six packs today in Santa Rosa, so apparently they are out there.

On tap in San Jose. Must have just gotten Clarence. What's the date on it?

They are 167. So were the ones I bought at the brewery last week.

Their facebook page said it's coming in the next couple of weeks.

I will be cleaning out my fridge in preparation.

Imperial Red has hit Chicagoland. Just picked up a bomber at the Plainfield Binny's. Bottled on July 7th. I love how fresh we get their stuff now!!! Anxious to try this one!

Anyone notice any taste difference between the Russian River and the (Chicago) water source ?

    Oh...Hello all !

I remember in the late 70's buying an occasional quart of beer similar to the bottle Sucks comes in now, never thought something so tasty would come outta this style bottle !

When I first tried Sucks, I was blown away...but at least here in PA, it's pretty hard to come by, and goes quickly. Now after having Extra and Undercover Shutdown, and tasting how good/similar they are to Sucks in many ways, and how much more AVAILABLE they are (still seasonal, but seems like we get more of it and it doesn't fly off the shelves due to hype), I'm very happy. I'll still buy Sucks whenever I see it fresh(ish), but having stocked up on Extra and Undercover Shutdown, I'm much less concerned about hunting down Sucks en mass.
