Lagunitas 2014 Release Schedule

Sumpin Extra. I had never had it before, was really looking forward to it and bought a case as soon as it became available locally. By no means is it a bad beer, just pretty underwhelming given my expectations. I have 19 different IPAs in my beer fridge right now and I prefer the Extra over only maybe 5 of them. It is an outstanding value however, $38.50 for 24 bottles.

I've never been impressed with Hop Stoopid and didn't enjoy Sucks nearly as much this year compared to last.

On the other hand I was quite pleased with a case of Maximus I went through about 4 months ago.

All Lagunitas' IPAs have a very similar taste/feel. I think I would be able to identify them instantly in a blind tasting. Very distinctive sweetness and hop flavor. Just my opinion.

 

Interesting. I've only had that regular IPA from the recently, nothing else. Might have to snag a few more and see how they compare.

 

Finally got Sucks 32s. I noticed the abv on the label is 8% while the January 6ers I had were 7.85%. It still tasted pretty much the same, maybe slightly dryer and a tad more bitter than I remember but still amazing. Anyone else notice this, did they just round up on the label, I know some times breweries will do that? For example: I think Two Hearted is listed at 7.2% but on the label it's 7%.

 

Will Sucks be available in 6 packs this winter again or is it just the 32s now?

 

I think a byproduct of the Sucks scarcity/switchover to 32s etc has been increased focus on and demand for the Sumpin Sumpin/Sumpin Extra/Sumpin Wild line of beers, which IMO have been excellent, but I might not have bought as many of them as I have, had Sucks been continuously available in 6/12 oz format.

Had a Sumpin Wild last night (last night was Julian date 259, the bottle said 245 if I read it correctly, so less than 2 weeks old) that was just outstanding. As a homebrewer my go-to Belgian yeast has been Achouffe, but this beer makes me want to work in a few batches with the Westmalle...

 

Sucks 32oz FINALLY made it to St Louis this week. I picked up 2 bottles today and can't wait to have some more Sucks tomorrow night.

 

Want those so bad in Jersey. Cant wait till November

We just got them in Md. but I seemed to have missed the Sumpin' Wild. Maybe in October.

 

Did you find Sucks? They had it Woodstock Hops Barley in Woodstock, VT, 20 minutes from Lebanon, NH
And maybe at Case & Keg in Laconia, NH

 

A Lagunitas semi carrying a (literally) load of beer had an unfortunate accident - so i'm sure a few folks expecting Lagunitas soon in certain geographies will have to wait a bit longer. Fortunately, it seems no one was hurt.

Lag just starting distributing in my state. Very good beers. however, they only have the regular IPA and Sumpin' Sumpin' here for the moment. I'm waiting for Sumpin' Extra and Sucks! Both great beers.

 

Terrible looking crash. Surprising, but good to hear the driver was fine.

I've been slowly working my way through the Lagunitas lineup since they just arrived here and Kansas, and I'm sold. Lil' Sumpin' Extra Ale is one of the best beers I've had, and their Day Time IPA is very solid. Can't wait to try the rest.

 

Lucky bastard! Im down by lbi and these liquor stores suck. Im hoping they pop up soon
