So does this have any bearing or influence on the big boys and the fact that FRESHNESS IS KEY for what will be a mass produced product? It's crazy but people arent stupid. Once you have a fresh local IPA that hits all the notes that you desire, there is no going back to 2-4 month old shelf turds.

I bought this guy last year en mass. Probably a 4-6 sixer allocation over a 2 week span. It sounds like I should be aiming for the same. Fresh'ish Sucks is really good. But I give that one a month old or younger, as the 8% abv just really starts to become a sweet mess.

What does a release like this tell them or us, or others, about how they should be producing IPAs in the future? I feel the mass produced "sorta" okay IPAs sell a bunch more in quantity because people don't know better. When will this fresh wave really catch on? If Stone is losing business and employees, maybe they need to re evaluate their Enjoy by series. It's been hit or miss for a year now. I appreciate finding less than 3 week old mass producted IPAs but that doesnt come close to what local places can produce. So the flavor too, has to be a known WOW factor

If you enter the Petaluma, CA zipcode of 94952 several places come up.

    Cheers!

Two restaurants in 80027 (Louisville, CO) show up, but I highly doubt they have them on tap today. Maybe I should go find out.

Didn't people complain about it being filtered last year or am I thinking of another Lagunatis? Seems convenient they removed any chance of speculation

^that was the citrusinensis beer I believe. Larger retail drop was filtered. Smaller more localized initial release wasn't.

But yes, them marking it as UN FILTERED below the space that had FRESH HOP last year, they may be trying to reassure people that in fact nothing has been changed... Sort of to correct their ways on the Citrusinensis release.. Just a thought

Then again, I had massive amounts of hop floaties last year. It wasn't even really murky. Just truly apparent flakes of "beer" stuff. So maybe they want to reassure people or give them a heads up that it may be a bit ugly to look at

Definitely worth finding.. maybe a tad too sweet like a lot of their hoppy stuff. Remember liking it a little better last year and wanting to drink my whole sixer immediately.. could be a recipe change or me being more sensitive to that sweetness.
Regardless still a really nice beer.

I may or may not have just picked up 3 6 packs of this and 4 4 packs of Harvest Ale. I am a happy beer drinker this time of year. :sunglasses:

I think its disappointing cause thats the same price that Waldo was. I get that its fresh hops, but still a pale ale. However with Simcoe, Citra, and Mosaic I will still be buying it.
