Lagunitas - Born Yesterday 2016

Sorry, only had it once at the brewery taproom so I have to assume it was fresh. Did not rock my world in the least.

 

This just hit NJ so picked up a 12 pack yesterday. Heard others say last year's was better and that may be the case but it's pretty close as this is really good. Put this in 16 oz. cans and sell it at local breweries fresh and there will be lines out the door nationwide.

 

So is born yesterday retired? That is, if one wanted to tick that beer off of the top 250 lit they wouldn't be able to because born again has superceded it?

 

any Southeastern PA sightings?

 

Born Yesterday is scheduled to come back this year in October/November.

 

Found it in extreme South Jersey today. Looking forward to trying it

 

Did Heineken which recently now owns 100% of Lagunitas 'sign off' on this release schedule?

Not sure how I missed this....Found a single bottle in the beer fridge....usually I'm pretty on top of what I have...Little more wild/green onion/garlic then fresh but was still pretty damn good considering.

 

Buy Rite in Fairview... my go-to

 

I noticed this last fall with this beer as it 'crossed' the one month old line.

I personally was not a fan of this 'evolution' of flavors.

What I got last year help up pretty well, never noticed an onion/garlic taste.

That being said I did score 2 12 packs of Born Again today at Discount Milwaukee. 1st I have seen it in Wisconsin.

 

Red Stone's north of Boston got a new shipment of BAY. Does any one know if this is a new batch that was recently bottled, or if it's from a few months ago. I'm assuming they brewed a new batch, I just haven't seen it any where else.

 

One of the longer sides of the 12 pk box has the Julian date stamped on it. You can either look yourself or ask someone there to read it.

My area Tws got some in just recently. They are stamped 086, or late march.

Taste was just as how I remembered it, yet it's falling sort of fast. It's been just two weeks since they got any at all. So I wouldn't be surprised if it was the late march batch. It didn't even have a price sticker and was just sort of sitting there. Kind of sad this wasn't made a priority. Even so, in its current state it's definitely worth the $16 12 pk price.

 

I know we got 2 different batches, first 12 I got was bottled in March and the second 12 was bottled in April.

 

I haven't seen it in North Jersey yet.

 

North Carolina received Julian date 144 of Born Again Yesterday about two weeks ago. This batch was not hazy like the original BY.

 

A store I was in in KY got a late drop dated 109 (April 19) about two weeks ago. Still made me happy.

Will they let me borrow their time machine? Want to check Powerball numbers.

 

Really, @ben4unc I'm not calling you out, but Julian 144 was may 24, or one week ago today. Then from Chicago to n.c...... you see my doubts?

 

They don't call it Born (Again) Yesterday for nothing I guess.

 

I've purchased a few 12 packs and this most recent, day 153 (June 2), is the most tropical and best yet. Still little to no hazy but damn tasty
