So far my favorite wet hopped beer and one of the best beers I've had period. Fantastic.

This beer arrived in MO late last week and sold out many places rather quickly. I stumbled across a six pack while picking up some spinach last night and despite my skepticism grabbed it. This beer is fantastic, I mean really damn good. I'm no Lagunitas fanboy and couldn't believe how much I liked it. Looking forward to having another tonight

I'm a homer and Born Yesterday blows Founders Harvest Ale out of the water.

I tasted both of them blind (along with Sixpoint Sensi) and Born Yesterday came out on top. Harvest Ale was actually below Sensi as well for me.

First time trying it. I scored 3 sixpacks here in MA and was the first to open one of three cases sitting on the floor at my local store. I even beat the stock boy!

Fantastic version of the wet hop style. I think that Born Yesterday and the Victory Harvest take top honors for best wet hop beer this season. Founders Harvest was damn good and Sierra Nevada Harvest wet hop is always in the mix but Lagunitas hit it out of the park especially with the post packaging shipping logistics! 6 days from the bottling line!

Drink up you have fresh Abrasive on the way (this batch is outstanding BTW)

It's amazing how quickly it disappears! That good to hear about Abrasive!

Just drank one. I prefer Grunion over this

On my second sixer of this and find myself enjoying the beer less and less... Loved the first couple a few days ago but I'm struggling to get through it now... Still bright and loaded with hops but.. Maybe it's the profile? I will drink the rest with hot wings or something but... It's weird.... I love Lagunitas too. Maybe the Simcoe? Just gets cat pissier to me....

I enjoyed this beer but I preferred Victory's Harvest Ale...though I'm probably a bit biased...haven't tried Founders and wasn't a big fan of Six Point's Sensei.

My not-really-into-craft friend said he wanted an IPA when I was at my fridge, so I gave him one of these and hyped it up. He barely drank half. That's not a good sign.

Just got a 6 pack that's only 10 days old. I have a cold though, so it'll have to wait a day or two. Not generally a Lagunitas fan, but we'll see.

It sounds like a joke, but I (as several others in this thread) really found that the beer was substantially diminished even at about a week after bottling.

This was the best of the fresh hop beers we tried this year, but it is pricey in Minnesota. $2.49 a bottle and you had to ask for it in the local liquor stores. No one just puts it out on the shelf. We managed to get two 6 packs.

I had both over the weekend like both a lot. Founders is more classic style India Pale Ale whereas Born Yesterday seems to have the sewage/ new england (hate saying that) juiciness to it.

I find almost all Lagunitas ales have a quenching tartness, and Born Yesterday certainly exhibits that. It tastes very much to me like the base pale ale in Citrusinensis. Sucks and Sumpin Sumpin have it in spades too.

The only other wet hop that I've had thus far this year is Sixpoint Sensi, which is good but completely different. I find it to be very subtle, showing off the essence of the hops used without hitting you over the head with bitterness or juiciness.

I find that my personal tastes prefer Born Yesterday simply due to its tart, quenching qualities. I really appreciate Sensi though for its restraint and ability to show off a range of hop flavors.
