Lagunitas Born Yesterday Pale Ale

Found some in md today. The check out girl said they had just received it a couples hours before I walked in.

 

Drinking some 10/26 now. Fucking delicious.

 

Yeah i just got my sixer. Drinking a fresh one on tap to boot, it's delicious!

 

I'm in villa park outside Chicago. I will keep burbs posted. Windy city delivers to this area on Thursday so I imagine we will see it then.

 

Wondering this too, had this last year, awesome beer.

Rochester, MN got their allotment this afternoon of 10/26 batch. Fucking delicious

 

Mine say "borned 10/26/15" in the same place they usually put julian dates. Nice to have a more readable date.

 

Enjoying one now, it's solid. Definitely had a recipe tweak (last year was labelled 7.5% ABV) and a price increase ($10 to $12/6er). Last year it was the best new beer I had in 2014. This while very good, wouldn't have earned that distinction in 2015. Yeah, I know, the first one to say last year was better than this year. *ducks*

Dude I was gonna insult you after I read your response because I had already looked and looked and looked and couldn't find sh@t. But after reading your response I looked and still didn't see anything then busted out the light on my phone and voilah...there it was. Now I know where to look. I don't drink a lot of lagunitas beers so didn't know this trick. Why I have to break out a flashlight to find a "bottled date" is beyond me but it's their world not mine.

 

Lagunitas said it hit my local Whole Foods so I went over. Said they aren't getting it in until Friday.

 

Same here, kinda bummed my local spots dropped the ball on this. Guess I'm drinking born a week ago ale.
The crazy part is the last release was almost same day

 

Thank you for taking a minute and following the advice. You definitely will need a flashlight if you aren't look at the bottle at eye level. The secret to finding it immediately is to old it up like you're toasting with it. For beer snobbing purposes, it's also a way to see how clean the beer is before you pour it. My recollection of last years Born Yesterday is that it had a lot of hop sediment, which wasn't a lot by other breweries standards, but it was certainly the most I'd seen in Lagunitas.

 

Was last year citra? This year is mosaic, amarillo and equinox.

 

And Simcoe and Citra right? At least that's what their little Born Yesterday video showed.

Except it is virtually impossible to see with the naked eye.

 

Anyone seen this in the Tucson/PHX area or know if we're getting it? I need it in my life.

 

I used the beer finder at the Lagunitas website and went to 2 places that it said have Born Yesterday. I got nothing but blank stares and confusion at both stores.
