Seriously, it really is, construction hasnt begun yet.

 

Oh really? I figured your "empty and dark" comment just meant they had the event elsewhere.

I thought they were supposed to be pretty far along on the tasting room part of the new facility by now.

There has been some construction on the outside of the building...looks like a loading dock is being added to the back of the building (my Metra train goes right by it).

 

yeah, as vav said, empty and dark. i took some pics, i'll post them later if anyone is interested.

they used one of the buildings near the brewery space. basically down the street on a different section of those buildings/movie studio. they gave flashlight tours of the space, even provided trolleys to get driven 300 feet.

i asked about the tap room, they're looking at march/april. it'll be 8k square feet. suspended from the air 25 feet off the ground. kitchen with some basic healthy foods. glass panel all around to watch construction. brewery should start producing in november 2013.

 

Any updates here?

 

I was told 4/20 this past weekend at a tasting...

 

They'd better make that date, the next 4/20 is 365 days later
