Why is there so much confusion with this? The Lagunitas website says it's the 2nd release in the 2016 one hitter series and people are already reporting in this thread it's on store shelves. It's out in some markets, and will be soon in others.

A local store here put it on the shelves yesterday.

Found it in Holiday Market (Royal Oak, MI) on Saturday. Looks like mine was bottled Feb 15th if that makes sense? Top row of numbers is 046 6 2, alcohol % on mine is 7.9%.

Also haven't had a bottle yet, can't report on how it tastes.

Normally that would make sense, but the whole idea behind the OneHitter series is that they're limited one-time drops, not multi-batch seasonal releases.

Yea I was going to make a similar post. It's not really a one-hitter if you do it twice or more. Not complaining, just saying.

Ah yes, hence the name "OneHitter"...well now I'm just plain confused as to how people are getting it in February...

Excite that this is back, but so much more of a summer beer for me...

I remember drinking some at 4th of July on the lake. Now with the winter storm advisory we have tomorrow... Not the same feeling.

Wait a sec. I think I missed the One Hitter that preceded this. Which one was that? I feel like Lagunitas isn't sending everything to New Mexico these days. That sucks.

Bitter Oats was the most recent one I believe. Packaged in bombers.

I think it's just a typo on their site. Maybe it got bumped up on the schedule and they never changed the graphic.

That would be Bitter Oats. It's a little pricey by Lagunitas standards, but very good.

Ah okay. Actually we got that. Thought I'd missed something else. We didn't get DoppelSticky though.

the beers that lagunitas have on tap are not part of the "one hitter" thing, so not sure why people are concerned about the name, unless they actually do have high west bottles out, which I don't think they do (I'd love to be wrong though). Heard they weren't bottling it at all this release.

The One Hitter Series is just a new beer release every month. It was promoted last year as "One Offs" but some are working their way into this year's rotation again. In 2015 Lagunitas put out a calendar of what they were releasing each month but I have not seen any such calendar yet this year. The June 2015 One Hitter release was Citrusinensis so that's why some may be confused. It looks like Citrusinensis may now be the February 2016 release (or maybe January as Bitter Oats was listed as the December 2015).

There is a slight change this time around, this beer is filtered now, so all of the delicious floaties are no more. Apparently they got enough flak for the appearance on the initial release that they decided to filter it for this year. We've got package and draft showing up today.
