I always used to recommend the Dogtown over the IPA to my customers.

Back in the day Bing would've crucified you for that comment.

I thought this was great. Nice flavors with it being a fairly low ABV. Probably will be my go to beer of the summer. Wish this would be released earlier than Sumpin Wild... Didn't care much for that guy. Maybe I'll have #2 out of 6 too see if my palate was off that night.

^ This. If it were $6 to $7 a 6 pack it'd be a great session beer to add to the mix

Just grabbed this the other day...imo its a little lighter body than I like in an ipa but considering the abv its damn good and I could drink (and especially smell) it all day.

Hit the nail in the head there. I agree 100%.

This beer is nearly water. Someone took Coors Light and added a drop of lupulin. I swear to god. Vacant, empty, vapid...just left me wanting an actual beer.

Agreed.....the $11.99 for the 6pk. was the biggest waste of $. :flushed:

    Cheers

I think I paid $11 for my sixers. This beer is great. There is a ton of flavor and aroma packed into such a small package. I'll be buying this until it is gone.

This is my new poker beer. I want hops but I need to be able to drive home safely after a few.
For 4.6%, I think it's great. Quenching with a bright hop profile.

11.99 for a sixer in NC. I enjoyed it quite a bit.

(I said this in last night's LNBA but) This tasted like hop seltzer to me.

This is the perfect beer for when you have to eventually drive home but don't want to drink BMC. Had a sixer tailgating before a football game on Saturday. Awesome IPA flavor for a low ABV brew. Seems counterintuitive to pay $11 for this when you can get their regular strength IPAs for the same price or less, but for when you want to have a few and not sweat the eventual drive home, this is a hell of a candidate.

Saw it in Ramsey tonight. Didn't pick it up though. It was $10.99 and I was there for the FBS.

Great flavor, no body. Probably due to the total lack of malt backbone. I'm afraid I can't spend another $9.99 on this one... nothing to do with the ABV, just not filling the way I like.

The thing is that this beer is better than their regular IPA and therefore I would rather spend the money on this beer.

I agree, but when I saw you put up a 3.45 overall for it in your review this morning, me, Snoop Dogg & Willie Nelson were a bit disappointed

I forget in which thread about Lagunitas Daytime IPA that someone suggested Unita Wyld instead. Whoever you are, you were spot on. Wyld tastes like Datime IPA smells. And at 4% it's quite the session beer. I thought Daytime was good, but Unita Wyld gave me my hop fix in both nose AND taste. And being a pale ale it had the body to back it up.

We have been seeing it in Illinois now for about 2 months. They actually use more hops in the end of the boil and dry hopping then their standard IPA. Probably why it might be more expensive. @fosterJM I've heard Tony from lagunitas is a toker, so he probably snuck some of that good Cali bud in there
