I know people were making a big deal about this beer when fresh upon release and because of the awesome price point. But personally, I found it thin and harsh fresh. This thing is a thing of beauty now. Age will still benefit this one IMHO. Coffee almost near non-existent, but mouthfeel has thickened and become stickier, and vanilla bourbon barrel and dark fruits & fudge are so impressive now opposed to fresh. I'm now buying the hype. Took a while, but some need time.

    Other BA's thoughts? Go! CHEERS!

Interesting feedback but if the coffee is now non-existent, that just defeats the whole purpose of the original beer for me....in this case.

I thought aging thinned out a beer's mouthfeel.

I've got one in the fridge as we speak.....been considering when to open. If I don't get to it in the next month or so I was going to wait until the fall. Would love to hear what others have found after cracking one recently...
