Sounds like Jewel was the way to go. Picked up 2 six packs in Bolingbrook. No limit. First BCBS and now this.

Lagunitas High West-ified = Budget BCBS. Way to go, Lagunitas!

Even at $20 its a deal. I paid $96 plus tax for a bomber case and would do it again....and again.....

    Enjoy

    Budget just sounds icky

Lets call it an under rated/under priced BCBS, or that BCBS is a overpriced High West-ified. AT some point credit has to be given to Lagunitas in not just a budget sense.

If they can do it, anyone can. But many times, CEOs and such need to make ends meet with their 5th o r6th house.

Bombers last year were 1 per (here) and went fairly fast. That was being an unknown beer. Now everyone is looking for it.

I saw that as well, but earlier in the week it was posted for $19.99

Know of a store in southeast MI that got it yesterday afternoon. Called after work today and was all gone (of course) only recieved a few 6ers. Sold em by the bottle. 1 per. Actually kind of sad.
Hopefully it will hit a few more stores before disappearing for good.

Not to worry. Multiple stores in Ann Arbor alone revived at least two cases. It's out there, you'll just have to act fast.

I'm actually enjoying one now and am blown away by the quality of this beer. Next year, I think I may find myself chasing this beer instead of that other elusive barrel aged coffee stout.

I know, just seems like an odd format for such a limited supply. if it is THAT limited, then it means some people can hoard the crap out of it while others may only get a single 12oz bottle. Better be pretty available.

    Agree.

I just hate bombers. Even if I get limited in buying it. I'd rather get 2 singles than a bomber.

Calling around the Chicago area, can't seem to find this anywhere. Anyone with a Chicago-area lead feeling generous and willing to PM me or share here?

Why PM?? Big secret or something? geez.
It seems like drops in the city may start happening next week? Jewel, Whole Foods, etc. not all locations, obviously, so call ahead.

I'm so sick of the Michigan distribution and hoarders. All gone after a day at the places that got it here. It's really sad that I can easily send my Mom in New York to casually pick up beers that come and go within hours in Michigan. Bcbs I need to do a raffle to maybe buy a bottle, but New York I can send her out weeks after. The real kicker is KBS though. No excuse that my beer noob friends can pick up as much as they want there and I have to kinda bust my ass in Michigan to get it.

Having said that, I am so stoked to try this beer and at an awesome price point. They could easily charge double for this beer. When companies don't gauge it really makes me loyal to their brand. Rep to Lagunitas

Interesting quote from my Whole Foods (Chicago) beer guy: "I've gotten way, way more questions about High Westified than BCS this year."

They didn't have it btw. But a good lesson that people will seek out great liquid and great pricing over hype.
