I am 99% sure that this is the same as what was on tap last year around the Twin Cities as "barrel aged Cappuccino Stout" I remember that it was rye barrel aged and there seemed to be some confusion over exactly what the name was. Also, if I am remembering correctly, I think that MN was one of only a few places to even get those kegs outside of the brewery.

Had a keg here at the Crescent Moon (High West Rye aged Cappuccino Stout) as well. I believe this is the same beer.

I know we are not slated to get bottles of this in NE. Good luck to you guys ( oh, and if you get it let's trade  )!

edit: Another part of me wonders if this is Imperial Stout with coffee added instead of Cap Stout, but given those kegs last year I am inclined to think otherwise.

I'd hoped IA was going to get some, but, it wouldn't surprise me at all if it was those two places only.

I work at a liquor store in St. Paul and had a talk with the distributor about it as it popped up on his inventory list. Think we're getting some friday

Pittsburgh got it, kegs only though.

Pretty sure it's not the same as Barrel Aged Cappuccino stout though. ABVs don't match up and this is technically part of the ScareCity line so its probably a one time recipe.

According to the other site they are the same beer.

Also, the ABV's match-up just fine

The old BA cap stout with the 2009 entry date is HH barrels.

interesting. I was just going off the regular Cappuccino stout. Seems like quite a bump in ABV to me but hey, what do I know. :slight_frown:

Yeah, no way 54,000 bottles is only for two states

Huh, wonder why it's draft only in central Iowa with that many bottles produced.
