Anyone have a clue if or when we'll be getting it? 12 oz format is nice and the last release was really good. The Lagunitas beer finder says it's at a few stores in the state but after making a few phone calls that seems to be incorrect...

Also hoping to see some Xocoveza Charred

Picked up a bottle of Xocoveza Charred at Vinnin last Thursday. There were still a number left at around $18 per.

I talked to a rep from a craft dristibutor Thursday and he said we wouldn't be getting it until Brown shugga ran out but I got the feeling he didn't really know what he was talking about. On the other hand if he was right he also said it should be readily available in the area, he said that the distributor got a lot. Take that with a grain of salt.

Been hoping to see this too since reading about it on the release board. A guy at Giles told me he thought it was hitting the area at the end of this week but he wasn't sure what their allocation would be.

The price point (mentioned in that new releases board thread) sounds almost too good to be true so I hope we see it soon.

ETA: for anyone who doesn't want to bother searching for the thread, most people were seeing 6 packs in the neighborhood of $15.

It was $13 in CT. Normally find most beer cheaper in Mass. Still an amazing price either way.

Am I seeing this right? $13 for 64 oz of a very good barrel aged stout?

Yup. It also flew off the shelves instantly because of that though. Most places in CT only got a single case.

    It's even better than that: 6 X 12 = 72 ounces!

South Shore and Cape probably isn't getting much. Supposedly only getting 1 case at my store tomorrow.

Haven't seen it. Seems a must buy at this price point. Wish it wasn't a "coffee" stout, but I'm sure it will be very good.

Everything is marked up. It's all overhyped as 'limited' so they can break up the packaging and gouge the shit out of you. Plus, they follow you around in the store like used car salesmen and try to act like they're doing you a favor by selling you a single bottle of something slightly rare.

    That about sums it up.

Gordon's in Waltham had it last night for under two bucks a bottle. 2pp is the limit. There were a couple more on the shelves. I picked up one bottle and a Rodenbach Alexander.

FWIW, they have an absurd selection of barrel-aged stuff right now, especially if you like Clown Shoes - seems to be a ton of Amandine Exorcism. They also still had some Boulevard Collaboration #6 left.

CBC Belmont has Xocoveza Charred on the shelves.

Fort Point Market just advertised they have it. Most local places can't be too far behind.

They have a couple cases on the floor at Pemberton Farms: $12.99 a sixer. Can't beat that with a stick.

It was very easy to not buy the BCBS next to it at $12.99 a bottle, but they also had a couple of cases of that if anyone is still looking.

Incidentally, PF is a great place. I only live a couple miles away but I'd never been because I avoid Mass Ave like the plague. Mass Ave didn't disappoint in its shittiness, but the selection and prices were good enough that I'll probably go back again anyway.
