just wondering when this beer is gonna hit Michigan? Looking at this beer it looks fantastic and I bet it's at a great price point too! Thanks
draft only so far this year. Rumors are it is coming back at the end of the year in a packaged format.
What does packaged format mean? Larger quantity? 6 packs? I never really got any coffee on mine, so I drank all 3. I drank fresh, one on Oct 4, and one on Jan 28. I liked the last one very much, so it was holding up well. Wish for more coffee however.
I drank one bottle shortly after getting it and am storing one now, but I really liked this beer a lot and think it stood up quite well to some other high-profile coffee stouts. Looking forward to seeing how it ages
I had several fresh and then had one after about 6 months (stored properly). I liked the fresh bottles better with the coffee pop. I plan to purchase more this year if I can and I'll lay some down. It's all good.
Still have 8 left. Paid under $100 a case. Well worth it and would have bought more if I had the chance. A;ready have my name down for a case if its bottled again. Enjoy
was so bummed that it was only on draft this time, but did manage to get it once. Really hoping that rumor about bombers or 6 packs later this year is true
Was just at Lagunitas Chicago on Sunday and was told that it would definitely be released later in the year...
I held onto a bottle for about 6 months and it had fallen off a lot after that much time. I thought it was way better fresh.
From my understanding its part of their ScareCity Program, meaning it only available in the immediate area of the brewery. I can only speak for Chicago Proper but it was pretty abundant, cheap and pretty much the best bang for your buck when it was released. IMO this years isn't as great as last years, had the same thoughts on Citrusinensis. Not saying neither was not good and keeping in mind that one can't expect these small batch beers to match the consistency of mainstream brand. With that said Kegs have a tendency to wander, and if your willing to part with some of your fine shelve Michigan beers I see no issue with you landing a bottle or 2.
Really? I had no problem getting quite a bit from multiple stores over a decent time period (say, a week). I thought it was pretty under the radar.
i believe scare city turned into what we now know as the one hitter series, At least in bottle format. I think last years release got distribution to a good amount of markets, I expect the same if not more this year.
