So today at work I open a cabinet and found a Lagunitas Imperial Stout bomber starring me in the face. I was pretty surprised and really have no idea how it got there. It definitely wasn't by me. Judging by the dust its been there for some time.

Anyways the label says Imperial Stout 8.2% alcohol, BA calls its a RIS with 9.9%, lagunitas' website says 10.14%. Anyone know what's going on here and why the label says 8.2%?

It's not very good, so close the cabinet.

I had some for the first time at a beer fest in September, and found it pretty tasty.

Doesn't get much love around here but I think it's a great imp stout for the price. I enjoy the cappuccino stout as well.

It's alright, but Lagunitas should stick to hoppy beers.

I get too much of a soy sauce vibe from Lagunitas Imperial Stout.

I had it a couple of years ago. I really liked it, the bomber cost me $4.99 or so and it tasted like a chocolate milkshake.

I wish I would open cabinets at my work and find vintage beers. I am a research scientist so you really don't want to drink what is in the bottles at my work.

This is a beer that I enjoy, even though to my tastes it more resembles a Baltic porter than an imperial stout. Nice dark fruit and cocoa notes with minimal roast.
