One hitter series was outstanding this year. Not a huge fan of their regular line up. Rarely see anything fresh.

At least you know Hop Stoopid should be too . . . depending on when we get it. Was gonna get a case, but Nugget Nectar comes out next week and I'm 15 minutes from Troegs. Doesn't get any fresher than that my friend.

That's a good fuckn' brew (Nugget Nectar), wish it was around here. Been many years since last time I had it.

    Cheers!

Haha I lived in Chandler for a year before I moved to Tucson. Had a place near the Fashion Mall. Great town. Used to frequent that Whole Foods bar often. Hungry Monk was our favorite spot back then. Perch wasn't open yet but it looks awesome...hope James (British beer guy) is still doing well.

$8.99.....my eyes are watering. Some douchebag beer store in North Jersey was charging $5 for a 12oz bottle:grimacing:

Still waiting on Westi-fied around these parts. I understand how they get so much love. But for a malthead (the opposite of hophead ) like me, they hardly have anything to offer. Cappuccino Stout is pretty good and it's easy to find and that's about it. Everything else, including their Imperial Stout, is very hop forward. Wish they had more variety, style wise. I'll be definitely grabbing some Westi-fied if/when I see it.

Michael, what is the typical age of Maximus when you see it on your retailer's shelves?

    Cheers!

I stopped buying their every day beers because of this. But I did but Born Yesterday, awesome beer.

Just got a sixer this week. It was in the cooler, so I hoped it had been cold most of it's life. Still a great beer, a slight dropoff on the "zing" factor as compared the the first couple of weeks. If fresh is a 4.4, I'd give it a 4.1 at this stage.

I stopped buying their beers when they sold to Heineken. Not so much because Heineken bought them. More so because of Tony Magee's hypocrisy. He railed on and on about how he would never sell out and criticized breweries that did. Good for him that he cashed out but I can spend my money elsewhere.

And I never saw why people went crazy for Brown Shugga

I don't care if it's not craft size anymore, they are talented & consistent brewers than don't make boring beer and keep the price fair. Keep up the good work. Wish you would bottle date Sucks tho. Only reason I didn't buy it today.

One of my favorites! Drinking a Little Sumpin as I type this. Like I have said before: Lagunitas, does no wrong. Except for the bs Julian code.

Agreed. Very hopforward, even the Brown Shugga. They are basically a hophead's dream at a great price.

I love almost every beer they make, except directory a couple which I just like quite a bit. Seriously, they were the brewery that taught me how to like IPAs!
Now if only they could work on clear bottle dating...
