Lagunitas love. Just wanted to share this story. I am a big fan of Lagunitas and for my birthday my wife ordered me one of their glass growlers off their online store. So, I was pretty excited to receive it. On my second trip to get it filled at a local "growler guys," the guy misplaced the Lagunitas cap. He couldn't find it, so he put on one of their own caps. However, when I got home, I noticed it just sort of fits. If you try to tighten GG cap it will eventually just spin around in a circle; doesn't hold the seal. So, I was pretty bummed that my growler would be useless. My wife suggested that I email my issue to Lagunitas. Thinking it was a long shot, I did on Sunday. I received the response today... "Richie A new cap will be sent to you tomorrow via UPS. I did find your wife's order and used that shipping info. I talked with our Bar Manager and she said the one we are sending you is high quality. Just know that you have to put good pressure on it to seal it. Enjoy! Lucy Markovich Schwag Shoppe Asst. Manager In office: Wednesday & Thursday Saturday & Sunday Lagunitas Brewing Co. 707.284.1020" Just wanted to say that is pretty impressive (shipping will cost more than the cap) and publicly thank Lucy and Lagunitas. I guess you can say, I am even a bigger fan now.
Granted they are a business and this action they took doesn't really surprise me, this is still a really cool thing from a terrific brewery. I can't wait until they open in Chicago!
That's great to hear. Not personally a huge fan of Lagunitas but happy to hear they are a great bunch of people. I love seeing how great some of the people working in the craft beer industry are. Flying dog also has some great employees, they have gone out of their way to help me out before. I've noticed that the craft beer community as a whole are really great people. Everyone from BAs to craft bar owners/employees to brewers and brewery staff.
Funny, I just saw on Facebook that they're coming out with sweet new growlers with swing tops. Only problem is they still went with the clear glass...
