Lagunitas Lucky 13

    An ultra-mega-mondo red ale first made for our anniversary in 2006 to celebrate thirteen years of brewing ultra-mega-mondo ales.

    From the first day of the first mash of the first recipe in the first brewhouse in the first space to these coordinates on the cone of space-time; We have worked hard to walk in the footsteps of our hero brewers- Chico’s brewer of California’s Best Pale Ale, the Noble Brewer of the planet’s only legal Steam Beer, and Oregon’s Rebel Brewer from Newport. Now we have found our own voice as brewers but our admiration for the Great Ones has not dimmed one bit. If we walked well down the hero’s path, perhaps we too have been an inspiration for others. Beer is a Bronze Age business and we feel honored to leave our footprints on it’s path into history- at the same time leaving our flavors on your buds. Obey those Buds! Thanks for your trust over the years and we hope you enjoy this specially brewed Hi-Gravity Auburn offering.

    First time hearing about this beer, and I will definitely buy it when I see it. What do you guys think?

    EDIT: I hope I didn't just fall for a small April Fools joke. lol

    Know a beer store that has a few bombers left, probably from a few years back... mayb '13 or '14?
    Idk, but I know its still there. Dont know if its the same stuff but its called Lucky 13. Been eyeballing it everytime I buy from there.

    This is a great beer. I think the last time I had it was in 2012. I'll definitely be picking this up.

    It's been 3-4 years since it was last released. Nice to see a 12oz format.

    Its good but I wish Imperial red was released again.....That was the shit.......

    Wish it would've been 6ers of Imperial Red I saw yesterday, but Lucky 13 6ers are out in Norcal.

    They sold 50% of their company to Heineken, but Lagunitas is still in charge of the brewing process. Their beers still taste the same to me, btw. :stuck_out_tongue:

    To gain access to the non American markets, like Mexico and so forth. They have split their ownership down the middle with Heineken. The American aspect of Lagunitas is secure with its Lagunitas ownership.
