So I have been wanting to try this for a little while now. I'm not typically a PA guy, prefer more hoppy IPA/DIPA's, but this one has my attention. People have compared it to Zombie Dust, the best APA out there IMO (I know it should prob technically be an IPA, but I'm just going by what the brewery classifies it as). My question to the Southeast in general, but specifically FL is: how fresh is the New Dogtown Pale Ale in your beer stores?

Here in Central FL, I am only seeing bottles that were bottled around Sept/Oct of 2012, not fresh at all. I don't know what the problem is as we had Enjoy By 5.17.13 4-5 days after it was bottled. I am certainly not expecting that, but I cannot bring myself to try it if I cannot find it within 90 days of bottling. I'm not that snobbish, just want to be able to try the beer how it was brewed, not after the hops flavor has faded. Am I asking too much here?

Seems like they only have it at one of the beer stores I shop at here in South FL, and it never moves. It's a good beer but I guess it's not as popular as Lagunitas' other offerings like Sumpin' Sumpin', which sells regularly, their IPA and of course the specialty offerings (Sucks, Undercover, WTF, etc). I haven't checked the bottled dates but I bet if I did check them at the store where I always see it sitting around, the dates would be similar (Fall 2012).

What you might want to do is find a store that can get it, tell them you want it but not if it's 6 months+ old. Maybe they will order you some?
