Picked one up for 8 bucks in Boston. Tasty, but I remembered it being a bit more aromatic in earlier batches. This bottle seemed to be lacking some lemony qualities i love in this beer. It was still good and I like the format. The extra ten ounces go a long way when splitting a bottle with a friend.
What is bottled on dated. Quarts have hit Long Island with bottled on date in january, too old for this beer.
$8+. Not anywhere near the 40s as the BS "desire" for the product would have led you believe. I'll never by one, especially in the presence of the six packs.
Looks like I will not be drinking Sucks till next xmas then. Everyone predicted this ridiculous package would be overpriced here.
$7 - $8 /qt = $15.75 - $18 six pack. And this is the introductory price. If Hop Stoopid bombers are any indication, this price will go up $2-$3 over the next year or so to match the equivalent DIPA bomber prices from other breweries available on the area.
I am done with IPA/DIPA bombers/32s/etc. unless it's a one-time release (even then I get annoyed but understand it more). Paying the equivalent of a $20 six pack for Sucks, delicious as it is, is absurd. I wouldn't give a $20 six pack a second thought at the store; putting the same beer in an obnoxious size that takes up too much room in my fridge isn't going to make me pay double for it.
They had them at Blanchards in JP and West Roxbury. I totally lost the taste for that beer so didn't notice the price.
Saw them for the first time in Western Mass this past weekend. Didn't see any price and was in too much of a hurry to ask. Still 6 packs around in places, but I would think they are getting a little old.
I got one at Liquors 44 in Amherst the other day. $8. Won't be buying it again at that price, but I wanted one of the bottles for homebrew.
No kidding. I never got what all the clamoring was about anyway. It's a good beer, but I certainly won't buy it by the quart again. I haven't even bought a six pack since 2011. The novelty was fun and I don't feel like I was 'gouged', but the novelty's gone now and if I want it again, I'll wait.
