Lagunitas Sucks in SEPA?

Picked up two cases at Breski yesterday afternoon. The 2nd tier distributor was in there talking to the guys. Breski said they had sold 100 cases in the last week. 2nd tier dude said he had 200 more cases in the warehouse and 500 more on order. He also stated he had a bunch of quarter barrels on order.

 

That blows. Great beer but there is definitely a point where it falls off. Doesn't give the customers best chance when it is already at least a month old when it hits stores.

 

Half way through my second case sitting a top the third. Superb as usual!

If this is true there should be criminal charges brought against the distributor. Sitting on an IPA? Idiocy!

 

Hopefully this BS will be a moot point soon. The beer guys at Wegmans told me that Sucks will be a year round beer in April. Lagunitas has that new brewery in Chicago...so hopefully we can get some fresh (not a month old!!) Sucks.

 

It's been expected as a year round brew for way over a year now. First it was trouble with hops, then they were waiting on a vendor for the ridiculous 32oz bottles they want to put this beer in. I suppose it could happen eventually but they can't even give Philly enough beer to properly distribute to all the accounts for a once-time-a year offering. .

 

This sucks....
