Especially for a beer that falls off fast. I had two tonight, one with julian date of 327 and one with 351, noticeable difference between newer and older.

Must be the same distributor that sits on Double Jack for a month or two. SMH! I really hate distributors sometimes.

Of course it is a matter of personal taste, but definitely a big difference to me. I grabbed the older one thinking it was the newer one and as soon as I started drinking it and thought something was off and then checked the bottle date and saw it was older one. The newer one had a much better smell and more hoppy taste. But I am pretty picky when it comes to my beer.

Double Jack isn't a seasonal. Why would they sit on it?

I don't get why you're saying they'd sit on it then. A lot of distributors try to sell through a prior seasonal before releasing the next one.

It's just like any perishable good. A grocery store isn't going to put the fresh milk before an older best by date.

I was very happy to enjoy a few pints of Sucks at Pour Judgement on 12/29 and 12/30. Dirt Wolf on tap at Malt as well made me think I was hitting the jackpot for Newport. Better luck than I've been having for hoppy beer in Boston lately.

For anyone that's still looking for it Nikki's has about 5 cases left one of the only places I have found that's not sold out.

Resurrection! Just to let you know, fresh (bottled May 6) sixers of Sucks spotted at Tollgate Haxton's in Warwick. I'm guessing these will be arriving elsewhere as well.
