Lagunitas Sucks - SEPA

Frustrating that this isn't around yet but with Dirt Wolf and Hop Ranch, my attention has been diverted. I just hope it's not faded by the time it's on shelves.

 

We won't see it this week in the 5 SEPA counties, and it won't hit on Monday as Origlio is closed in observation of MLK day. If someone has a twitter, can you reach out to them for an update? (no twitter account or I would)

I spoke to a reliable source who said that it will be hitting SEPA early next week.

 

Case and draft will be out on Tuesday 1/21/14.

 

The beer yard generally gets things as soon as they are available and they are saying 1/21/14 as well. That's when you can expect it in chester county.

 

Anyword on if this is starting to hit stores yet?

 

If weather permitted, places that ordered it and had deliveries yesterday should have received it. I saw cases and sixers yesterday, but held off as I have some reserved already.

 

Pinnochios in Media just got several cases in yesterday according to their fb.

 

Trenton Road Takeout has a ton of it.

 

Anyone see six packs in chester county. Checked wegmans today but no luck.

WF Devon was putting it out at lunchtime today.

 

WF Plymouth Meeting and Wegman's Montgomeryville both had it today. A dollar more per six pack at Wegman's.

 

So I just tried my first Sucks and...I didn't see much difference between it and a Lil Sumpin Sumpin. I like both beers and would gladly drink either however for all of the hype this beer gets, I didn't expect it to be so similar to another one of their beers that I have been able to get pretty easily.

 

How fresh is the Sucks that you folks have found around here?

 

The one i got yesterday was bottled on 12/31

 

Thanks for the info. 12/31 doesn't seem too bad. I think a lot of us had the impression that it's just been sitting in warehouses for weeks, waiting to be released.

Where is the bottled-on date, by the way - on the bottle, case...?

 

WE got 2 pallets in the middle of Dec. They are all in the market now. The case I got from the warehouse yesterday was bottled on 363. So Dec 29. Code is 363 3 meaning day 363 2013. second line is bottling line an time. It is on both case and neck of the bottle.

 

The wegmans in downingtown got some yesterday bottled 327 (November 23rd). Hops are long gone, still tasty but not near what the beer should be.

 

I am thinking about trying this beer and it looks as if it should be consumed ASAP. How long before you thing the hops start dropping off in this beer?
