Looking back I post way more about Lagunitas than I should, I mean I love the brewery but I love lots of other stuff...but:

On the way home from the gym stopped in Joy Wine & Spirits and noticed a row in the cooler with Little Sumpin Sumpin, and i haven't personally seen any Lagunitas in Denver, except IPA, in months. (and not even any of that for 2-3 months during the distributor changeover)

Clerk says the delivery came in 5/23 and the date on the bottle neck begins with 109 so I believe this batch was bottled April 18.

Joy Wine & Spirits ain't the cheapest around so I'd check Mayfair, or whatever your local is, if I were interested in this beer...but it's in town. (Now I'm wondering if it was on the shelf at Argonaut when I stopped in and got a sixer of Avery IPA and a four pack of Hoptimum walking home from work Friday evening...because the Lagunitas was $11.49/six at Joy Saturday afternoon)

The Sumpin and the IPA is all we carry, too. Just got our second delivery of Sumpin this week, but no idea how long CDC had it in their big-ass warehouse. I think 10.99 to 11.99 is what I've seen the prices 'round here.

Can't wait for them to roll in more of their beer. Had the imperial red a few weeks back in Phoenix and it was very tastey (the also had WTF)!! But did pick up a 6er of the Lil Sumpin this week!

I'll pick some up when i get in the mood for some garlic and onion:wink::grinning:.

All kidding aside i don't see how anyone can love those flavors in there beer(Summit Hop). I have not tried the IPA in a very long time, Years.. Does there IPA use Summit? IMO they seem to be a 1 trick pony with the use of summit in almost every beer i have tried by them.. I'm going to assume it's a very inexpensive hop? Try using some Citra hops then i'll buy there beer all day:grinning:

They do seem to have quit a following so i guess they are doing something right. Just not my preference..

I just saw a video on there site. The guy said Cascade, Centennial and some crystal hops.

The thing that took me aback was the bottle he opened was a twist off? I haven't bought Lagunitas in a while but i always used a bottle opener, are all there beers twist off?

I'm not a fan of their IPA. But really like WTF, Cappucino Stout, Brown Shugga, Imperial Red and Lil Sumpin. Never did get a chance to try the Lagunitas Sucks? Popular beer.

You've posted along these lines before...

I do not like Summit hops; drain-poured 4 gallons of a 5 gallon keg of a Summit single hop IPA I homebrewed ; and I will guarantee (at the risk of looking like a dummy) that there are either NO (zero zilch nada) Summits in Lil Sumpin Sumpin, or Lagunitas IPA, or Hop Stoopid, or (I think rather more obviously) Lagunitas Pils, or at the very most they are so far down in the blend as to be un-recognizable.

I say this because I hate Summits more than you do, and if they were there I would not like any of the beers just mentioned. Are you sure it's not Columbus you don't like, and the pine/reefer combo it brings to the table?

Now I never got my hands on any Sucks, maybe they used Summit in that one, I can't say.

BTW, one-trick pony? The four beers I've just rattled off in my 2d graf are pretty different IMO...

When have i ever been wrong? Well i bought a Little Sumpin Sumpin to revisit it. I gotta say i did not get any Onions, Why? I have no idea.

I was going to pick up some IPA by them but went to 3 different places and all the dates on the neck were 058. Doesn't that mean it was bottled on Fed 27th? That would put it well over 3 months old, No thanks..

You're a good man, fitshaced. I just finished...well my stepson just finished, and left the empty on the counter for me to take out to the recycling, along with various other debris, and a glass to wash in the sink, and left before i got home...the last one from a sixer, with an 046***** date on the neck, purchased @ Joy Wine & Spirits last Saturday. So February 15 and while I am not a freshness **** (I think 60 day old IPAs are fine) this one had fallen off a lil bit, I have to admit. Kind of surprising since the 6 I bought 5/27 and referenced in the thread-starter above had a 109**** on the neck; fresher beer of the same brand, and by 60+ days, on May 27 than on June 9?

If its 058 that i saw then that makes its over 100 days old IPA. That's No bueno!
