Lagunitas' Waldo's Ale

i had a realization that hit me like a locomotive today

I get headaches when i drink beers like this which is why i don't like them.
IDK how common it is but malty IPAs always give me a tension headache or someshit way after drinking one.
Happened with Waldos last time i had it and also happened to me on Sunday with another IPA.

It's not all of them but those sickly sweet ones like Waldo cause them. I know i saw on this site that someone else has similar issues.

Am i dying?

 

Same here and I can also get bad sinus issues so I need to be careful with them. This is what I was touching on in my earlier post and too much Waldo's (which actually wasn't too much beer in general) made me feel pretty blah:

One or two of the wrong IPA can mess me up for a day+. I have seasonal allergies and allergic/sensitive to a lot so assume that the amount of hops can send my body into overdrive.

Yeah I just grabbed this when I saw it on the shelf, gave up looking for the date figured it was somewhat fresh, but honestly these take me a few months to drink. The first one I cracked caused me to swear off sweets for the next week. But honestly these will go on vacation with me and will be my pre-nap beer, shit it packs a punch.

 

I liked Waldo but my all time favs from Lagunitas are Hop Stoopid, Decimator and Lucky 13.
Guess those are all history now

 

Nighttime and Equinox were also amazing.

My life loved their Sonomica but idk if they still make that. I found a 4 pack next to a 35th anniversary 6 pack out here in LA last year and she's down to her last 2.

I'll never get tired of talking about their great beers they robbes us of. NEVER.
