Not even two full six-packs is gonna take away the pain of that bill

As of yesterday they still have a considerable amount. I debated getting a 6 pack but I generally only like Lagunitas stuff and DIPAs (or in this case TIPA? IIIPA?) can be really hit or miss with me and usually for me it's okay yeah enjoyed it, one bottle was enough...so if I see a single somewhere I will definitely pick one up.

We stopped at Lagunitas in Cali a few days ago and had it on tap. Enjoyed it, but last years was more impressive I had in the bottle. It still was solid, but big double/triple IPA's just don't do it for me. Just too much malt sweetness in there and Waldo's is no exception.

Does the beer vary any east vs. west coast distro? I thought I heard our version (in Ohio) of Born Yesterday was a bit different than what hit the west coast. I may be mistaken though.

I had a bottle last year and I really enjoyed it.

I had the first bottle of a recently purchased 6-pack and it was too cloying/sweet for my palate.

I am not a long term Waldo drinker so I can't provide 'better' information than just that I enjoyed drinking last year's bottle but not so much the 2017 version.

    Cheers!

I noticed the same thing over the weekend, but man my palate was jacked up because of various things, so going to try another one later this week. Hoping that was the case

This was actually my experience last year. Bought a sixer. Really enjoyed the first bottle. Every bottle after that seemed sweeter and sweeter. I ended up giving away two bottles. This year I just decided to grab a single and I'm glad I did. Sweet as hell from the first sip. Just not my kinda DIPA. I prefer them in the 8% range.

I managed to secure a 6-pack of this and its the first time Ive had it. Last couple years, it has eluded me.

I'd love to hear from other BA's - does this age well??

Typically, Im opposed to aging any IPAs. But this seems more like a decent night-cap or smooth sipper. I cant imagine drinking more then one in a sitting the way I would with some of my other favorite IPAs.

Well I am not sure how long I had it around last year, but I think it would surely turn into barleywine territory if left too long (probably never get as malty as Rodeo Clown though). I ended up with 2 6 packs and might just hide a few and try it out. I posted earlier that it seemed sweeter than last year, I think it was a combo of palate fatigue along with a hotel fridge that wasn't that cold. I just had one tonite and it reminded me of why I grabbed 2 this year vs 1 6-pack.

I saw 3-4 cases on the floor yesterday in Olympia WA, they were all gone 2 days later. Some hop loving guys out this way, also lots of great local IPAs as well.
