    Hi !
we will be in Lake george this weekend (mainly for the six flags). Can anyone recommand us goos place to eat and have a beer (kids must be allowed !).

I know that that region is not the best for craft beer but can we found some not so bad stuff on tap and/or to be buy in store ?

    Thanks in advance !

If you make your way to Glens Falls, Common Roots is about 20 min south of Lake George Village, and is some of the best beer in the area, IMO. If you want to stay right in the village and eat/drink, Adirondack Pub and Brewery is a great place to eat, and has some good beer. Haven't been up that way in a while, so I can't speak to stores/bottle shops.

+1 for Adirondak Brewing. It's close to town. Good food, atmosphere, beer is OK.

30 min north is Paradox brewing in Schroon Lake. Worth the trip. Kid friendly. I really like their beers. When visiting LG we always head up to Paradox. Quick flight and grab a few growlers.

If you do make it south at all (which I suggest because Common Roots is great and they always have a food truck slinging wood fired pizza and the like) right down road there's also a bar called Craft on 9 that usually has Hill Farmstead, Grimm, etc. on tap.

AMAZING food at this place. Can't recommend it enough.

And to the other dude, skip the hotel. Gonna pay out the nose for it there, way better off getting an Air B'N'B. You can find a cottage right on the lake for much less than you'd pay at a Mariott or whatever.
