This is probably a shot in the dark, since Canada is such a big country, and so few people live in the area that I'm asking about. Maybe someone has been in this are and can help out.

My friend and his wife are taking a road trip along the north shore of Lake Superior from the MN/Ontario border to Sault St Marie.

I have given him addresses of breweries along the way for him and his wife to explore. Obviously, most are in Thunder Bay.

I have no idea about the quality of these places, so I was wondering if any Canada BAs live in the area can give me and my friend some advice on the places. Here's the list I've sent him on the Canada part of his tour

    Thunder Bay
    Dawson Trail Craft Brewery
    Sleeping Giant Brewing
    Lakehead Beer Company

    Terrace Bay
    Slate Island Brewing

    Sault St. Marie CA
    Outspoken Brewing
    Northern Superior Brewing

Again, thank you all who can help with this. I've never taken the trip, and my only adult experience in Canada is going from Warrod, Minnesota, through Canada, to Minnesota's Northwest Angle. And, yes, I'd love to figure out a way for me to get to Kenora to visit Lake of the Woods Brewing there, but it looks like I'll have to settle with the Warroad location.

Sault Ste Marie beer quite mediocre. Never tried terrace bay stuff after seeing their website once, looked like swill for the masses. I've had my share of sleeping giant from thunder Bay and it's not only a nice place to visit but their beer is decent. Selection better at the brewery vs liquor or grocery stores but lots of non local options at these stores. Regrets for what I'm guessing is a late reply, it's a great drive!
