I was in a Goodwill store today and found a 16 oz tulip glass. It appeared generic. But, when I got it home and washed it, there was a faint brewery name... Lake Time Brewery, Clear Lake, IA etched into the glass. They are apparently very small and very local (judging by their web site and the low number of reviews on this site for their beers). So, since I now have logo glassware from them, I am curious what people here, who may not have posted a review, think of them. Not a big deal... just curious.
By a popular app they seem to be making a name for themselves with a peanut butter cup porter. Have not had anything from them myself.
Very small. They've started to distribute a bit to the region via crowlers as well as kegs to local bars and growler stations. The PB Cup Porter is a signature beer for them. It's definitely good. Great? Eh. Their other beers (the other two I've had) follow that same theme. Good... I'd certainly drink them again... but there are probably better options on the menu.
Most underrated brewery in Iowa, IMO. Their tap room is really cool. They rotate beers a lot, but their hoppy stuff is always on point, and their flavored stouts are good. The Cresco liquor store started carrying crowlers of their Peanut Butter Stout, which bears Dangerous Man’s for me. I’ve drank quite a few of those this winter, and would recommend that anyone heading from the Cities to Decorah swing through and grab one.
