Anyone else going? I'll actually be in Milwaukee this year, so I'll be going for the first time. Planning on getting there ~6am.

I'm probably going to be there as well at about the same time unless Discount Liquor announces some amazing gets on their Black Friday cellar list. DGAF about BCBS this year. This will be my first time hitting up Lakefront's release as well.

Lakefront is legit... I'll be there at 430 then heading to Michigan for the hipsters brunch release... Always good bottle shares at Lakefront!! Hopefully grab some bourbon county on the way out of town.

When you say bottle shares are people cracking bottles in line or is there a share inside the brewery?

Debating going for my first time and then seeing what's left for BCBS around town. Realistically how early do you have to get there to get the allotment?

Contemplating it. Last year was much more fun than standing in the cold without drinking for BCBS

I will be there. I am hesitant to chase around BCBS after last year's fiasco and I love Lakefront Black Friday. First time going

I'm planning on going this year, it will be my first time. Last year I got extra BCBS and traded for Lakefront Black Friday. There is a 3 bottle limit at $15/bottle, food will also be served before they open.

I am going again this year. Will be my third year. Actually opened up my last 2014 last night, and was tasting so smooth.

Last year was pretty cool, had the brewer's come out and talk with people in line.

And oh yes, sharing is caring in the line. Though, I would say don't be those people that leave their 30+ empties in the middle of the sidewalk for everyone to walk over.

I plan on hopefully getting there by 5:00AM, weather and thanksgiving plans permitting.

As for BCBS searching afterwards, I have had no luck in that regard my previous two years. I may just be me though, and not having any sort of "in" at any store/bottle shop. I have always immedaiately after getting my allotment gone searching only to come up wanting around Milwaukee. Downer, Pick n Saves, Metro Market, Whole Foods, Woodmans, Otto's. Each store I get to has been empty or simply not selling. Last year I got 1 at discount liquor being one of the last 5 people able to purchase, but that was another 1+ wait. So if anyone has any better recommendations I am all ears, otherwise I may just stay at Lakefront and have a few pints and eat food this year.

So, if you see a guy in an orange coat sitting on a bucket in line Friday, come say Hi! I haven't decided what I am bringing yet.

Thinking about finally heading up myself this year. For those that have been, what's parking like near the brewery? Street parking?

So LF supposedly has 5,000 bottles with a 3 bottle limit per person. What time do you think they'll be sold out?

I had an employee bottle.. Very good. The barrels remind me of the CW barrel smell.. A bit creamier and thicker. Great beer!

Quick question: is the Black Friday release cash only or will they take my plastic? Just want to be prepared but prefer not to walk around with a stack of bills.

Had a great time this year. Got there around 6AM and the line moved fast once the doors opened. Met a few cool people in line sharing bottles.

So anyone heard anything about the release this year? I see this link with the "Black Friday Vintage Reserve" http://www.tmj4.com/news/local-news/lakefront-brewery-announces-specialty-beers-for-black-friday

Another news article describes it as "The 2017 imperial stout will be joined by Black Friday Vintage Reserve, a beer created with Black Friday from 2014 through 2016."

So do we think they took actual barrel aged 2014-2016 or just the base stouts? Then did they re-age them in new bourbon barrels?

Either way I am getting my allotment and maybe I'll go back through the line this year since I have struck out on Bourbon County that last few years.
