Off topic but does anyone know if Lakefront has any plans to do their organic Barrel aged barelywine again?

Looks like Wristbands this year to not only get allotment but also pours in the beer hall.

Any more information about this? Does this mean one time through the line for everyone? Exactly how many pours do you get in the beer hall? Only hope this speeds things up a bit.

I read it at 1 pour and 1 allotment per wristband. They are also cracking down on bottle shares in the beer hall (only Lakefront beer allowed inside). Which means it should go much faster than last year. I didn't get there till 8 last year and it took me about 3 hours to get through the line, have a pour and head out.

Look for me when I go on my morning run - assuming I'm not too hungover. We live about a mile away and I plan on taking my route by you guys, so flip me off if you see me.

The last three years I've strolled up around 10:30 and got my allotment with almost no line. Great event.

I arrived at 9:50 and received wristband #1492. They were telling me and the people who arrived in front of me that there was a good chance they ran out before we got to the front and then they stopped giving out yellow wristbands at #1500. They did continue to let people line up after informing them they had very low odds of getting bottles.

I got to the front of the line around 11:40 and there was not much left. They announced the sale of the last three within 5 minutes of my purchase.

Overall a good experience with the weather being nice and the beer was great on tap.

If they make the same amount next year, my guess is you will need to get there around open or shortly after to be guaranteed a bottle as it gets slightly busier every year.

Any updates on the 3 year cuvee they released? I'm curious about the bottle count so I can call the economic advisor I keep on call for beer-vestment inquiries to do the math for me to determine what I should offer if I plan on trading for it.

Actually asked while I was there. I did have a few drinks so I may have misunderstood and there's a chance the employee, who seemed quite knowledgeable, could have been an imposter...
It was brewed and due to a "clerical error", they accidentally had it in barrels for 17 months vs the 7 they planned. There was mention of awards being won and of it being released in 12oz bottles in 2 weeks or so.

740 total given @ release...straight from the owner and another employee. There was more but my guess they went to employees, friends, etc. Total count on social media clamied to be 940 for what its worth.

Had an awesome time but the line started much earlier this year... got there around 5:15AM and was number 485. Looking forward to next year!

Anybody notice that the ABV they had listed for the on-tap Black Friday '16 was a lot higher than what the '16 bottles say? I think the bottles are 11.4% and the tap board listed it at well over 13%. Maybe it sat in barrels until recently and the ABV was boosted by "angel's share" losses? Seemed odd. I was also surprised that the '17 version is almost 16%. Very tasty and quite the beast.

Yes I noticed that also about the abv on '16. Angels Share or one of the abvs that is listed is just wrong?

That time of year again. Anybody heard the details on the beer itself? Think I saw two variants again this year.

Anyone know if black friday will be on tap all weekend? Doubt I will make it for the initial bottle release today, but still want to have it.

Anyone have a report on what time they sold out this year or what was the latest you could get in line?

I got there around 9:50 last year and was one of the last to get bottles. I woke up yesterday around 6am with plans to go out but saw that their were already 600 people in line by 5am. Figured I would go back to sleep rather than wait about 4 hours in line to get bottles.
