Pretty sure I will be there....doubt it will be at 6am (or even 8am for that matter) though.

If I wasn't going to be hanging out at Binny's at 4AM on Black Friday I would be at Lakefront.

Hmm, since I'm in Milwaukee this year for Thanksgiving, I'll probably have to hit this up again. If anyone wants me to bring a little something from MN let me know.

If Abrasive is out by then, I may take you up on that offer.

I probably plan on being in line by 6-6:30 again this year, and since they're encouraging bottle sharing, I'll plan on bringing a few bottles I've been saving. Hopefully it won't be a windy arctic blast again, but I guess a few beverages will remedy that. :stuck_out_tongue:

Unfortunately, I heard rumors that Abrasive won't be out until early Dec, but who knows...

I will be there again. I've been there every year starting with the one the year before the beer releases. Now that they're doing a barrel aged stout I can actually stash some away. Unfortunately I'll be in line and then heading straight home after I get the beer since I work in the afternoon.

I also think it would be awesome if instead of a pint glass they did something different... like a tulip or snifter.

What would be REALLY cool is if they could pair their glassware to the beer being offered. This year is a BA Stout so pair it up with a snifter (traditionally speaking).

The way that article is written, I wouldn't be surprised if it's something different than a pint glass.

This event has gotten better each year. I love that Lakefront really does their homework on how to run a beer release. I will be there at 6am as usual. Cellar goodies in tow.

So for those on you that have done this event in the past, is it a requirement to show up 6/8AM to get a bottle?

I understand this year is a different style of beer and may bring a larger crowd. Just trying to gauge my chances of getting this and standing in line to get some bourbon county on the same day. Or if I need to decide between the two.

The first year, it was all sold out fairly quickly (1200 bottle count). Last year they bottled a shit ton of it (2400 bottle count) and it lasted for most of the day and I believe they even lifted the bottle limits.

This year being a BA Stout, hype will be higher and I don't think we know how many bottles they'll have available. If it's less than 1500, it's probably worth standing in line. If it's over 1500, you could probably show up at noon and have no problem getting bottles.

I will definitely be there. I have to imagine (pure speculation) that since they are allowing 4 per person, that they have more than enough. It was only 3 last year; until the line ran through and they opened it up for additional sales, of course.

They ended up giving away bottles to liquor store accounts because they couldn't sell it all. That's why I'm guessing they went the BA stout route.

Might have to bring a couple of my last 25th Anniversary Stout's to see how it compares, if bottle sharing is allowed.

Kinda bummed that they aren't releasing the Imperial Black IPA again this year. That beer was phenomenal and something different. Guess they are jumping on the BA Stout bandwagon.

Even though I have to work in the afternoon I'm thinking about bringing a couple bottles. I know I still have a bottle of Chad somewhere. Wonder how it's holding up.

Apparently, this will be happening: "Limited number of gift sets will also be available that include 2 bottles, 2 snifters, a bottle opener, and 2 slate coasters!"
