Greetings, BA people. I’ll be traveling to Paris in a couple weeks, and I’ve been doing some beer research for a couple of weeks, trying to find all the must-visit spots, with a focus on lambic. I’ve read BA’s city guide for Paris, and I think I have a solid list of the usual suspects (Liquiderie, La Fine Mousse, etc) but I’m wondering if any locals can provide some context or advice on where to find the best bottles. Ideally I’d like to take some limited Cantillon bottles home with me, and I see some spots sell bottles to go. Also, I’m considering a quick trip to Brussels, but I’d only be going there to grab bottles from Cantillon so if I can find bottles in Paris and just pay a bit more, that’s probably a better option for me. Any advice you can provide will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
La fine mousse is worthy and as of the last update we heard from them they could have a few Cantillons bottle as a side. May I suggest you email them whether on FB/Messenger formally or via their own email address? Just mention about being an American craft beer guy and who’s certain Cantillon wants?
I think that if you are a big Cantillon fan, you should consider the trip. You can get to Brussels in less than an hour and a half from Paris, and you'll remember seeing the brewery long after you have drunk all the beer.
I decided that I am going to visit the brewery too. I visited the last time I was in Paris, and it was an easy trip. So it seems worth taking a day to visit again. Cheers.
