Did a search and didn't see any dedicated threads. Seems like these guys are days from opening.

I was really lucky and got to sample Lucid Nonsense this week. It was really nice...not a juice assault which is a refreshing change of pace. Crisp and balanced. I have a lot of high hopes for these guys, and I have a feeling they're gonna kill it. I just wish they were on my side of the river.

Cheers to a welcome addition to the Boston craft scene!

I'd be surprised if they are "days" away from opening. I walked by this weekend and looking in the garage doors could see that the tap room still only had rough sheetrock up. I think they're brewing in the facility, but with licensing and approvals that they'll need from various agencies for the taproom, I'd bet they're at least a few weeks away from really opening. (I could be wrong, but given the glacial pace of approvals on stuff like this, I'd surprised if they open before late October.) Regardless, looking forward to their addition.

Last I saw on Social Media, they are "days" away from opening for take out growler sales. Taproom is still a ways off.

As of May, they were going to be doing growlers in late June and taproom by July, so I'd take those timelines with a grain of salt.

Yeah, their timeline was far too optimistic, but now they've actually got tap lines running and inspections scheduled, so I'd think the growler pours could easily be happening this week. Facebook has photos/video of the tap lines and growlers ready to go. www.facebook.com/lamplighterbrewing

That's moreso what I meant when I said it feels like they're days from opening. I love fresh IPA's as much as the next guy but it's going to be awesome to get some different stuff in Boston.

Instagram reply an hour ago with the latest update: "just passed our fire inspection (!!!) so just waiting on the final thumbs up from our building inspector. So hopefully [growlers will be flowing] very very very soon "

Some more info/FAQs and a tap list from the Lamplighter FB page. Excited to check it out!

WE PASSED OUR INSPECTION! Which means...drum roll please...we will be opening our growler counter for to-go containers of Lamplighter beer and Longfellows coffee this Friday!! // Hours are Friday thru Sunday, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the brewery (284 Broadway in Cambridge). Hope to see you there!

What kinds of beers are you offering to go? Brett IPA, English Strong Ale, Saison, IPA, Gose, & Chamomile Honey Wheat. And cold brew coffee!

Any thoughts of canning yet? We're going to be canning starting in early November!

When does the tap room open?? Hopefully within the next few weeks. Waiting on the final plumbing behind the bar to start doing full pours

    Finally.

Real question remains: how's their beer? Trillium and Night Shift have set the local bar pretty high...

Lucid Nonsense can make or break peoples first impression here in Boston. Given what was posted above.

Quite an eclectic lineup right out of the gate. If the quality is there for those styles, I'm excited.

Just rode by on the bus to CBC. Pretty long line on the street. Space looked shiny and new. But I thought I saw a guy behind the bar pouring beer from a growler into what looked like a Dixie cup.

Just swung by on my way home from work. Won't be the last time.

Short line to order growlers, longer line for samples since they're sampling everything and most folks are naturally tasting the full house. (Little plastic samplers, not Dixie! And a separate cup for each beer.)

I ordered growlers first, and don't regret my selections after a taste. The Filament English strong was a highlight for me, but everything was good to really good at least for a couple of sips.

But were they pouring samples from growlers?

The plumbing isn't done behind the taproom bar yet.

So the answer is yes. There was a pretty long line and beer samples being poured from growlers. I will stop in in the coming weeks but waiting in line for every guy in Cambridge to get a pour from a growler is a terrible way to spend a Friday.
