Maybe even as sweet as 90 Minute...

In any event, "less bitter" is not the same as "not bitter".

I like a nice bitter finish on a hazy juicy ipa

have had a 3 beers from them recently.

Aloysha - Abbey Ale. Did not really enjoy this. Was OK but low on carb and seemed a bit bland.

Metric Systems - Gose. I liked this. Probably more tart and sour than a true gose but who the hell am I to say. It was refreshing and tasty with my 4th of July meal of fresh grilled sardines.

Luminati - Citra. Great another brewery goes downt he hop rotation series. However, this is pretty killer. First can blew me away. Nose just exploded. Definitely explores the dank and bitter side of citra. Taste followed. Lots of orange but fairly bitter with some rind as well.

If there was one negative, LOTS of gunk at the bottom of the can. I left that out.

Second can I did the swirl around/roll the can to see if it was good with that stuff in there. Still good, but I'm not enjoying it as much. I have a slight cold so could just be that, though.

I had it on tap & was disappointed. Not sure if it's a bad batch (I've had each batch to date) or if the line wasn't clean or what happened. I have cans, but haven't popped one open yet. I'll probably do that this weekend & make a proper judgement.

Also - @cmoney13 - I really enjoyed Luminati as well. Very good beer.

I thought it was pretty good out of a can. Very pretty good. But there was a harshness to it. A tang if you will. Mate was convinced it was much thinner and less Galaxy tasting with also a sour tang to it.

That being said, I had one the same evening as I had a King Sue and I definitely preferred MT.

The Luminati line continues to impress. I quite enjoyed the Mosaic I had last night.

Space Monsters, a "west coast style ipa", otoh, is bumming me out. Not at all as advertised. It's a NEIPA with chinook and some caramel malts. Bit of a mess. Main fault is it's kinda syrupy and not at all dry.

Really? I thought it was a great representation of the style despite the hazy look. Piney with a good hop bite - west coast for sure.

yeah guess it's just different strokes for different folks. First one I gave a pass cuz it was 2nd of the night which can affect things. 2nd was on its own and same problems. And it's not like I don't like chinook in NEIPAs just something off about it for me.

This luminati mosaic, however, is fucking fire. We're watching some lit ass PGA Championship and we are side-by-sideing aaaaalter ego and luminati mosaic. They're actually quite different, aaaalter way sweeter, but for my tastes it isn't really close. Lumianti all day for me. Also, we were quite surprised to find the nose to be way, way bigger on the lamplighter beer.

Really glad you're enjoying! The luminati citra was even better in my mind, and the newest batch is with Bru 1 and is pretty cool. It's going to be a bit of an variable product, I think. So I hope people will be forgiving of differences from batch to batch, because we are going to use it as our experimental recipe testing ground- the bru 1 Luminati has almost no kettle hop additions and is playing with different whirlpool and hop temperatures and timing - which is quite different from what we did with Mosaic. Should be a lot of fun.

    Again, Major Tom anyone?

Doesn't seem as Galaxy forward as I remember the fist batch or two I tried, has a nice bitterness to it. Really enjoying it

There will definately be Octoberfest this year. We're working out some details with the city re: the party. The beer, however, is ready to go, and we have lots, lots more than last year!
