My parents are heading out to Lancaster for the weekend. A quick view of the map shows a few breweries, any of them worth me sending them out to grab me something?

Honestly? Solid beer in a bunch of them, nothing to "seek out". I like Lancaster, Stoudts etc. but I wouldn't send someone specifically to grab a growler/cans/bottles of. Old school beer out that way.

I'd agree with the above, generally. However, the bottle shop at Hunger N Thirst might be worth a trip for them. Maybe some stuff you can't get their/your way...

What everyone else said above. If you can talk them in to heading 30 or so minutes west to York Collusion Tap Works is making really good stuff and they do crowlers of some of their beers.

Bert's Bottle shop looks like they have some decent things as well. Haven't been yet but seems like a solid operation. I think they do crowlers as well.

Where are they staying? My guess is they'll be central which means they'll be close to Spring House Tavern. I'm not a big fan of their beers but it might be nice to get a growler if they're not available in Joisey, which I think they are.

But what was the brewery I liked that did some sour fruit beers? Manor Highway? Friendly Greek Bottle Shop had some, as did Hunger N Thirst. Good stuff.

Highway Manor. They do have stuff available in Philly, but I'm not sure if that gets to Jersey. Either way, pretty darn good beers if you like sours...

Patiently waiting for the first recommendation for "a slight detour" to Pizza Boy. (50 miles from Lancaster)

Springhouse has interesting stuff and bottles that don't make their way to nj. The pub also has decent enough food and is located near the downtown area where they could get dinner elsewhere and then pop in and grab some stuff for you

I thought St. Boniface beers were decent. When I was there I picked up a 6-pack of their citra pale ale, which was tasty.

St. Boniface is good, their canned stuff is solid.

Fresh cans of Paideia (their Citra pale ale) is amazing. Their double IPA Libation also gets high marks locally. They do crowlers of anything on tap (UNLIKE COLLUSION), so I would be happy with anything from there.

Lancaster is awash with great drafts. Mad Chef, Kettleworks, Wacker; aside from those above. Too difficult to pick one or two. Research is the best option; find something special on the numerous internet tap lists.
