Anyone planning on hitting up the Lansdale Beer fest on June 23rd? Should be a great time!

I'm up in the air on this one. I did it two years ago and had a blast. I'm just burnt out from Philly Beer Week and all of the drinking I've been doing this year in general. My decision will be based solely on if a friend of mine's beer will be pouring at the Homebrew station.

I'll probably go if I can find someone to go with. Missed it last year but I heard it was a good time.

I'll be heading out there with the wife and in-laws.. It will be our first experience with the Lansdale Beerfest. I hope it is a good time. I don't have HUGE expectations, so hopefully I won't be disappointed.

It was surprisingly amazing last year. Seems like they just bought kegs, because there was a lot of great/unusual stuff on tap, but few (except local) brewers.

They had Avery's Samael, and FW Double Jack. The home brews were amazing. Towards the end we just hung out at FW and drank double Jack. Would go again but have a wedding this year.

    Killer line up so far.

Jolly Pumpkin, Hill Farmstead and Struise to name a few. (and Founders, Goose Island, Firestone, Ale Smith, Stone, Cigar City...)

Just a friendly tip for this fest. Do not miss out on the Belgian Death Metal at the homebrew station.

Most of the "Nice" beers are VIP only though...

All of the beers are available during VIP. Whatever remains after that first hour is then available to everyone. Last year most, but not all, of the more-difficult-to-obtain beers were available throughout the festival. Witness the reference above to drinking FW Double Jack toward the end of the festival.
VIP tickets were a very hot item this year, so I do expect a few more beers will kick sooner this year. For example, Hill Farmstead's a new addition this year, and I can't imagine Edward will make it past the first hour.

Thanks for the clarification.. didn't see that referenced on the website. It's good to know. It will change my strategy today a little. The weather looks perfect. Should be a great day!

I managed to find someone to go with me at the last minute. Pretty good time. It was really nice to see that the local breweries were the most crowded. Longest lines I saw all day were at Round Guys, Neshaminy Creek, Free Will, and Prism. I will definitely go back next year.

They got perfect weather for this, couldn't have been nicer. The VIP ticket was the way to go, definitely worth the extra $$. No crowds or lines for the first hour. There was plenty of time to get around and try everything we wanted to, then we sat back and grabbed a pulled pork sandwich and watched the masses come searching for all the beer we had already tried.
Convenient location, well run, great beer---count me in for next year, too.
