In addition to the locations @TravlynMan mentioned, 595 offered it yesterday afternoon, and my brother @DTLVTOUR enjoyed it there in a low key non packed setting. Was a madhouse at Silver Stamp. I still haven’t made it to 595 but will try to get there and the third Aces and Ales location near the 215 turn next trip. You won’t have much trouble finding PtE in the Valley. Aces and Ales nearly always has it on, and others have it on regularly.

Don’t think I’ll make it to Tornado, hope someone buys it and keeps it open. I’ve stayed in Chicago this Winter to get something’s done with mixed success. Today was our first real snow, so can’t complain.

Beer Zombies closed their OG location on Blue Diamond and their larger location on Dean Martin. They are still in Downtown Summerlin in addition to the Tenaya Creek brewery they purchased over a year ago.

Hope you have a great trip and report on your beer travels after you return!

    Viva Las Vegas!

You got my attention on 595. They have a great selection on tap and in cans/bottles there. Plus the food looks good. How do they get Monkish kegs? I don’t believe I’ve seen any Monkish beers on tap here in SoCal area besides the brewery locations. Anyways, I’m not in Vegas for Younger, but it’s available and close by the downtown area I’ll try and stop in if it’s not a sh!te show. I am in Vegas to enjoy some good local beers.

I’m not sure about how 595 gets Monkish, but Beer Zombies has also had it for festivals and perhaps a few times just for regular business, and possibly Silver Stamp and Khoury’s.

Aces and Ales on Tenaya will have PtY tapped Saturday at noon.

They had a long line when tapped at Silver Stamp Tuesday night.

    595 Tap List: https://595craftandkitchen.com/tap-list

For local pours during your trip, I’d focus on CraftHaus either Downtown or at the Autoplex for Comrade and variants, which were released last weekend but some are still on tap. If you are headed SW, you can check out 595 and Aces and Ales new brewery (plus guest taps)
at the 215 SW Bend called Evolve. They just opened within the past several weeks, and have ten brewed beers plus over a dozen solid guest taps.

For those in Vegas the following weekend (Feb 21-23), Hop Nuts is celebrating their 10th Anniversary and should have great beers on tap, including their triple they simply call Anniversary. I don’t like many triples, but it’s my favorite (PtY and 3 Floyds Permanent Funeral get silver and bronze). It’s my favorite local brewery with the changes at Tenaya Creek (still many TC beers brewed today, but many favorites are gone).

I'll be in LV next weekend and the Hop Nuts anniversary is now definitely on my radar.

Thinking about stopping in Pizza Rock Downtown once we land in Las Vegas tomorrow. We’re staying nearby and it’ll be a quick in and out before/after we check into our hotel. Question, do they serve single slices? Don’t need a whole pie. Also do they have a tap list? After a 4+ hour drive across hell I’m gonna need a good local beer. I’m not bringing any of my local cans on this trip. I think LV is doing well with craft. :beers:

Not only I’ll be looking for IPA’s in the next 3 days, but a good black lager, Schwarzbier. Looking on some of the tap list I haven’t seen any.

Pizza Rock sells single slices up front, but you may need to eat them in the tables outside as I don’t believe you can order them for restaurant or bar service (ask). They also sell personal pizzas you can enjoy at the bar or with table service that come up pretty quick, with the added benefit you can enjoy a decent beer or two with the pizza. I typically order a personal pizza during their weekday happy hour with their Gorgonzola fries, and take half of each back to the room for the following day.

Triple 777 at Main Street could also be a decent downtown option in terms of somewhat quick downtown food service plus ok beer.

You’ll have a decent shot at some type of black lager, either draft or bottled, at The Silver Stamp.

I've been to everything on your Fab 5 except Silver Stamp. I feel since I'll be in Vegas next weekend I'm now obligated.

Checking Silver Stamp; their 4th anniversary party is on 2/22 and I'll be in Vegas that morning!. Would there be any other beer related events that weekend? I routinely end up at Pub365 one night, and Silver Stamp is 100% a Saturday visit. Checking in for any other events. And thanks @ChicagoJ for curating this thread.

Glad you found your Schwartzber @dcgunman . Nice to have fresh Zombie Dust as well, always a local Chicago area favorite.

Definitely worth checking out the Silver Stamp Anniversary (you too @Domingo ), as they have several special kegs each year for this event. They open 1PM.

I was there for their anniversary two years ago and it snowed in Vegas, my first Vegas snow not counting Mount Charleston. Hop Nuts' tenth anniversary on Saturday is worth checking out, there are still many variants for the Comrade release at CraftHaus if you like Russian Imperial Stouts. Both are only a few blocks away from The Silver Stamp.

Really looking forward to Pub 365 as its my most anticipated place I haven't been to (don't get to that part of the valley very often).

    Viva Las Vegas!

I made it to the Stamp anniversary yesterday and it was pretty damned amazing. Never seen Fou Foune (on tap no less) sitting next to taps from Andechs, Schlenkerla, de la Senne, De Ranke, etc. etc. They had several Cantillon bottles available, too. Love that place so much.
Not sure when they opened the doors, but the place was packed and it was still like a quarter 'til 1PM. Pretty much standing room only, although some nice folks gave us their table when they were leaving. The owners were giddy as hell, which is always cool to see. They're doing so many things right.

We walked down to Letty's and saw the Cin-Cin Brewhouse. Seems like a cool place for a night out, but it didn't seem like the sort of place you'd casually drop into. I wouldn't call it "fancy" but it was the nicest building in that area and it's a pretty large place, too. Worth noting, we saw a bunch of fermenters in a building under construction 2 blocks north of Hudl and Nevada Beer works, too. Maybe something else is opening?

On the strip, Parry Pizza is still an absolute gem. Lots of great taps and the prices aren't 1/2 bad, too.

Just back from my visit to Vegas. Pub 365 at the Tuscany is still a go-to. Tuesday they have a 3/$12 deal that has food, beer, and shots on the lit. I used that to get some carne asada tacos and chips & salsa while I worked a flight of some great options. Hop Butcher\Beer Zombies collab was a winner there.

Silver Stamp as mentioned above was for the ages. Scored the Cantillon on draft and other memorable beers. Then munched on some Soulbelly BBQ down the street where there were more local breweries.

I avoided the insane strip prices for beer going this way, and encourage others to do the same if you can. Rather drink better beer and normal prices and give the money to local businesses. In all; a solid work trip that afforded time to enjoy great beer.

I’m in Las Vegas at the moment. The Whole Foods on Las Vegas Boulevard by the airport has a nice selection of Russian River beers in the cooler. I picked up some Pliny & Blind Pig today.

Meeting a couple buddies in Vegas in a few weeks for a low-key guys trip to see The Punk Rock Museum and relax. Very stoked to check out The Silver Stamp, but looking for other recs walking distance around that area? We have reservations to eat dinner at Mae Dalys on Saturday of that weekend but figured maybe hit 3-4 spots in that area before?

Also, Able Baker worth heading to? It's been a decade or more since I've been to Vegas, but I always remember it as a beer wasteland. Just remember heading to NYNY to the Pour Bay upstairs for Dogfish while sports betting back in the day haha.

Any other recs for Arts District or Fremont area are appreciated. I think all of us going love beer and cocktails, but I have no idea where to go. My go to is now closed it looks like (Downtown Cocktail Room). Thanks all!

Yes, Vegas’ beer scene has improved a lot since your last trip.
    • Arts District I suggest hitting Silver Stamp first, since you’ll gauge how much you enjoy and may truncate other planned stops. I enjoy Hop Nuts for classic WCIPAs (typically Citra/Mosaic based), enjoy the coffee stouts at CraftHouse (Belgard & Comrad).
    • Able Baker Impale’d Ale is my Able Baker go to selection. They have about 30 taps, so everyone should be able to find something they like. I pass on visiting sometimes if it’s too crowded, or more often when they have the garage doors open and it’s too cold (usually open all day regardless of weather), which won’t be an issue in May.
    • Downtown Miss Michael’s Downtown Cocktail Bar, as well as Banger Brewing. Don’t head down there too often. Atomic Liquor’s beer menus isn’t as good as it was when Rose (now co-owner of Silver Stamp) ran the beer operation, and the past few times I’ve checked out the beer menu, and left. Pizza Rock’s beer menu can be hit or miss, but their HH pizza specials are still a hit on my end (and I’m a picky Chicagoan). Typically hit Beer Zombies / Tenaya Creek a few times each trip (it’s a mile off of Fremont) and sometimes 777 at Main Street Station.
    • PS The Red Dwarf Since you mentioned hitting the Punk Rock Museum, you might want to check out the Red Dwarf for a show, or during the day their solid Detroit style pizza and craft list (draft and cans/bottles). https://red-dwarf-lv.res-menu.com/
Hope you return post trip to tell us what you liked (or didn’t).

Awesome, thanks dude! Someone mentioned The Red Dwarf, and also said Double Down and Dive Bar all within the same realm, so may check out all three while there!

I do remember Atomic from back in the day, and did love their beer list, but the amount of breweries in Vegas at the time was like Big Dogs and Joseph James, so a lot of their list was from out of town.

You can always grab a beer or 2 at the Triple Down Bar at the Punk Rock Museum.

Right down the street from Able Baker you will find HUDL Brewing & Nevada Brew Works with Soul Belly BBQ tucked in between the two. I stopped in at Soul Belly for some BBQ and a couple of beers and it didn't disappoint.

Servehzah Bottle Shop & Tap Room is also walkable from Soul Belly. They had some good beers on tap, and a good selection of singles to go.

    Enjoy your trip.
