I used to think of Vegas a bit of beer wastland, too. At least unless you wanted to head well outside the tourist areas or you didn't mind paying 2x too much on the strip/downtown. There were highlights and exceptions (Banger, Triple 7's, Burger Bar, etc.) but it wasn't really a beer town necessarily. I'd say the Art District and surrounding areas have changed my mind in a major way. It's legit, and pretty close to both the strip and downtown, too. I'll admit that most of those places haven't necessarily bled over to the prime tourist areas, at least minus a few Atomic Duck taps, though.

Picked this up on my recent trip to Las Vegas. It’s nice having some Russian River beers.

    What a trip!

Friday night when we got in headed down to the Arts District and ran into First Fridays down there. Tons of locals. Started at Soul Belly. Food was great and had some Beer Zombies there that was legit. Went next door to Nevada Brew Works and it was decent. Nothing special, but a nice location in the Arts District. Hit a couple cocktail bars and then ended up Silver Stamp. My only complaint with Silver Stamp is I wish they had a couple more local-ish beers on. Don't get me wrong, great tap list, but would have liked to try a bit more from the surrounding area.

Saturday spent the morning at the hotel and swam a bit before heading over to Circa to chill at the sportsbook and watch baseball. The selection at Circa was decent. Had some Shiner Bock and Revision beers. Hit Beer Zombies before dinner and liked that spot as well. Silver Stamp (again) before the walk over to dinner and then ended the night sopping up Coors Lights at the craps table.

Sunday, got to hit Able Baker, and they were awesome! Great beers, and amazing food from the kitchen side. From there, hit the punk rock museum, and spent some time at the Triple Down inside there after cruising the museum. Had some beers from Crafthaus there that were decent. Made it back to Fremont that night to catch the Dodgers / Braves game, and then hit Evel Pie for some beers and pizza before calling it a night.

Hit HUDL on the way to the airport Monday and they had some really interesting beers. Spoke to one of the owners and turns out he was the first brewer for Green Flash WAY back in the day, so talked a while about the SD beer scene. Made one last stop at Able Baker on the way to the airport, and then said bye to Vegas.

Overall, congrats Vegas. They have come so far on the beer side. Awesome to see the Arts District now, and well worth the trip to enjoy some beers somewhere new!

Sounds like you had a great trip, and hit the key beer stops. They typically only have 1-2 local draft beers at Silver Stamp, and possibly a can or bottle. For people staying on or near the Strip, Pub 365 at Tuscany (a few blocks East down Flamingo) typically has several local offerings. Rebar across from HopNuts will typically have a few local options.

Getting ready to start planning my upcoming 3 week trip in June-July.

I talked with the Silver Stamp owner a bit last year and he'd even mentioned that they intentionally weren't trying to have a ton of local stuff. The idea was that if you wanted local beers, there were 5 breweries within a few blocks. I definitely get it if that's your only stop as a tourist, though.

Totally get that for The Silver Stamp. Still was (by far) my favorite stop when I was there. Just had a good vibe inside, and the beers were awesome.

We did stop at Atomic as well, but man that was a shadow from what it used to be it seemed like. Bummer, but made it quick there and had one beer.

Anyone know if the Speedee mart near the LV Speedway would have Russian River beers? I'm heading from Vegas to Zion and Bryce and want to grab some goodies before Utah. Khoury's sounds great but is a bit out of the way although still doable.

1st Revision can since 2020/1. First Aroma can ever. One and only can, given to me by a good friend. No can date. What happened? I thought Revision put dates on their cans? Not sure how old this can is. To me, it taste old. Can anyone tell me when this hazy dipa was canned?

We’ll be in Vegas later this afternoon for the weekend. Anything happening beer or concert event wise? We will definitely be hitting the Arts District.

I think they’ve mostly switched over to putting dated stickers on their four packs instead of inked dates on the bottom of each can. Revision has always been hit or miss for me. Just a haze factory that rotates the same six beers under different names!
Check out the mountain beer appreciation thread. I’ve been neglecting it lately since I’m currently out of state, but it’s a great place to discuss/post beers and breweries from across the entire region.

Looks like the fermenters I saw earlier this year were Bad Beat's new Art District location.

Glad to hear it. I had a friend who lived near their old location. I feel like their beers went from "meh" to pretty damn good over the years. Pictures of the new spot look terrific.

Thanks everyone for contributing to this thread. Had a great one day trip to see Zebra on Fremont Street ( the old guys can still bring it!)
Sampled 8 beers at Able Baker which were all good (maybe not the Mango Hefeweizen, lol), then Nevada Beer Works and HUDL which were both decent. Made it back for one more at Silver Stamp after the concert. I need to go back to Silver Stamp.
Also highly recommend Tacos El Gordo across from Resorts World.
    And PBR roadies.

Does Silver Stamp post their taplist anywhere? I think they are worth a visit if you are in the Arts District anyway. But was curious if it was availble.

Nah, they're oddly secretive about it but you can occasionally find photos of very recent lists (or a partial list) if you're willing to look through recent reviews, IG/FB posts with them tagged, or Untappd check-ins.

Spots like Able Baker, Beer Zombies, and Las Vegas Brewing are pushing creative IPAs, lagers, and seasonal stuff that’s way more interesting than your typical tourist pours

This is some good advice. Finished a week on the strip with a trip to the arts district. Silver stamp had a bunch of Halloween brews on tap (with overloaded but well done decorations to match), but was able to finally try DDH Pliny.

Some other good visits were aces and ales Tenaya (blind pig and a few other locals) and stumbling on some Boneyard taps at the Crack Shack - Park MGM.

The BBQ at Soulbelly is the real deal. Great sides and brisket/pulled pork. Everything I tried had something unique (spices) in a good way.

Next Vegas trip will probably include a stay downtown with a visit or two to the strip, instead of the other way around.

Looking for an extensive bottle shop in Las Vegas. Any suggestions?
