    Sorry, short notice here guys.
Going to concert tonight at the Palms Casino/Resort. Just wondering if there is anything to check out before the concert at the Palms, Rio or anyplace else in that area? Thanks in advance.

Not sure where you are coming from in CA but you will not much find much in terms of bottles that you can not find in CA. Best tap selection is Aces and Ales on Tenya Creek right off the 95 and about 15 minutes from the strip. In Henderson Bad Beat Brewing is not bad. You are not going to find much of a craft beer scene on the strip but the Cosmopoliton seems to have better than average beer and the Pub at Monte Carlo is not bad. If you need directions or have questions happy to help you out. I have lived in Vegas for 12 years.

It wasn't that long ago that the Strip was a beer wasteland. These days you'll find a multi-tap in nearly every casino and convenience stores carry a decent variety of the better known craft brands.
For years I made a game of slumming it on macros and alcopops, but now that's no longer necessary. In fact, it's not even much cheaper to do that anymore.

There is a bar called Money Plays about a block west of The Palms on Flamingo just before Decatur. They usually have some decent craft on draft, and some goodies in the cooler.

Just an FYI, the Pub at Monte Carlo has closed. They are doing big time renovations in that area for the Park Theater. But, Beerhaus between Monte Carlo and New York New York has some solid offerings.

Do not go to the pub at monte carlo, it closed in October. On their last weekend it was $5 all you can drink beers of whatever they had left. The whole monte carlo is being renovated and this was one of the first phases, I have no idea what will be there in the future.

Seems the Monte Carlo is about to become the Park MGM, which is what they've kinda sorta been calling that little shopping/dining area out front. The top floors are going to become a higher-end place closer to the Aria and Cosmo.
Can't say I mind. The location is great, but the hotel felt forgotten and I had some full-on disasters at the Pub the last times I was in. Not just old kegs, but 2 consecutive full-on soured lagers.
While it is NOT cheap, I like Todd English's P.U.B. located in-between the Aria and Crystal's mall. They have good taps and a good number of Belgian bottles, too. Nothing crazy RAR, but multiple Trappists and some (relatively) obscure saisons.
Again, not cheap, but Burger Bar down in Mandalay has some oddballs. They also have some inadvertently aged FW boxed items and DFH big beers. I don't think most people order them, so they don't move quickly. Prices are about 2X retail ($40'ish for Parabola), so it's not that crazy.

If you can go about four or so long blocks west of the Strip, behind Bally's, Ellis Island on Koval has their Holiday Nog out (or at least did 2 weeks ago and they were about to bottle it). The beer there is nothing special but the nog is GREAT, as is their bbq. We go to Ellis everytime we're in town.
