Last Ghandi-bot can purchase?

I haven't seen it in more than a year.

 

From someone who is in CT usually 1-3 days a month and knows all the stores with good beer everywhere I go, it's been like three years since I just walked in off the street like a civilian and bought some off the shelf. A kind BAer did hook me up with a couple of four packs a year or two back in an IP exchange for some MA-only treats, but at retail it's been so long I consider it brewery only.

 

One of my local stores actually kicked Nebco to the bottom shelf of the warm section because they are so annoyed with the supply problems. They say they don't rate cooler space until they can provide a steady supply. They haven't even kept up with Sea Hag at this store. The beer formerly known as G-Bot hasn't been on their shelves for two years.

 

There was a delivery this past friday of "Gandhi-Bot" ;-)

 

Had some Thursday with Matt at Tavern 1757. And no it is never on any shelf anywhere. It's behind the counter for regulars at the liquor store...I have never seen it on a shelf...ever. Sea Hag however is easy to find. Love it and buy it all the time..

 

My go to spot gets it frequently.

 

That's because you are a young person. It used to be on the shelves. In 16 ounce cans, in fact.

 

A whole five years ago. Egads. The drive to the local store via horse and buggy was a killer, huh?

 

Haha young. My 26 year old daughter would get a kick out of that one..Haha. I do remember it on shelves, but I haven't seen it on a shelf in two years...and I imagine not too many other people have recently...

 

It was a mile walk through the snow, uphill both ways, of course.

 

I doubt many place still have it, but a couple joints in Milford were selling two packs of it over the weekend.

 

That's because you're an old person. The memory is the second thing to go. Pickling your brain in alcohol may slow the effects

 

I vaguely remember the 16oz cans, and I'm 26. It was a solid year of being able to buy it most of the time. It was like a switch flipped and suddenly it became hard to get.

OP I'm pretty sure they are still distributing it. Keep looking. I have no idea when the next deliveries are out.

I don't think he is attacking you, he was pointing out that you said two completely different things in almost the same breath, and he did it in an entertaining way IMO.

Nope. I've had an easier time getting kbs/bcbs/sos/[insert backroom beer] than gandhi-bot. It's a poster boy for "not worth the effort involved beers." If you really need to have some, look for it on tap.

Agreed, not worth chasing right now. You can find it on tap or fairly regularly for growler fills at NEBCO.
