Kinda, mainly yes. Moriarty is available in a new 32oz Redbeard growler, no re-fills of existing growlers. It's in the moderately high-this shit best be good price range.

I went down for the 12-month version after the Resolute release. It is fantastic!

Why the reluctance to fill others' growlers? Or did you mean you won't even refill your own growlers (in which case your intention is obvious)?

I think the main reason usually is sanitation issues. You can never trust how clean someone else's growler is.

These guys are the tops man, back off a little bit with that. Every time I've visited Redbeard they are more than generous and I've always ended up with a free beer or two before it was said and done. Moriarty is one of the best BA stouts I've ever had and that's not even blowing smoke...it's damn near PVW Magick.

If I can make it up this weekend I'll definitely do so. Always a great time!

This one beer goes in new, clean glass only; the growler is "free", for all intents and purposes.

Anyone get any of this release this past weekend?

Might make a quick strike on Saturday for the coffee variant...

@TheRealRedbeard think you'll still be pouring on Saturday?

I went on Friday. The taproom was really quiet considering the release. It was pretty tasty but certainly didn't blow me away. It's thinner and less flavorful than Resolute. The bourbon is there but not as prominent as you'd expect in a beer that spent 15 months in barrels. I didn't get to try the base or the 12 month though, so take it fwiw. I still want to try the coffee, so I might be heading back soon. I expect they'll have the 15 month on for awhile since very few people seemed to be there specifically for the Moriarty.

Hmm, that makes my decision about going to Hardywood a little more difficult and the fact that Answer Pub has a nice list of beers going on tap at 4 including Trickery, and BA GBS...decisions, decisions and 1st world problems abound.

    Thanks for the response too.

The 15mo. will probably be gone by Saturday/Sunday (24th/25th), the Coffee should be pouring by Friday and will last two or three weekends.

FWIW, over half of what we had set aside for Taproom service is gone. I imagine whats left of the "regular" will blow during the day Saturday 01/24. A small amount will also be in Raleigh on the 24th, as well as at a yet to be announced PVW event in DC in 4-6 weeks. The coffee aged gets tapped tonight, during a ticketed comedy show, and will likely be on tap through the 31st, but probably will not still be available the first weekend of February.
