I'm over a week late, but thanks for all the responses here, especially @woemad !

Recollections are a bit hazy, but the first night began at The Steel Barrel, which I had actually visited two years prior, though I hadn't realized it until I was only a few blocks away on foot. (2017's conference must've been good as well, apparently.) Great tap selection, where I think I started with a "mimosa gose," which impressed my non-beer-drinking-yet-beloved co-worker, who had a solid few cocktails herself. I think I then had a festbier and an IPA over ceviche and nachos.

We then hiked over to Whistle Punk for a Thai pizza and some solid drinks. She enjoyed a cider and me a few good brews, including an IPA that I can't cross-reference on Untappd but was easily the best find of the trip. Juicy AF yet zero haze

The next night had more variables (i.e. co-workers), so the beer-focus got diluted, but fun was still had. Standard beer fare and apps at the Onion Bar, then dueling pianos (WTF, mate?) at The Ridler for good fun. (Spoiler alert: That cute bartender has some serious pipes and will make Axl Rose blush while she preps AND serves your damn drink. Impressive.) I had many rounds of Bodhi there but decided to try a No-Li "Juicy" IPA in Spokanian good faith. Bodhi was twice as juicy, so the former lasted only a single pint, and barely at that. (No knock on Spokane, though!)

Turned in late until trusty co-worker said she had another round in her. Off to the Satellite Diner, now after midnight, which had some section of the menu that appealed to me. In my own words, make no mistake - not those of the menu - it was something along the lines of, "Are you a hopeless, hungry drunkard?!" I supplied an enthusiastic, "Yes!" and bestowed upon my table was "The Biscuit Stacker." Bottom-to-top: homemade biscuit, cheesy hash brown, gravy, sausage patty, two runny eggs, another hash brown, more gravy, capped with another biscuit. All washed down with a pint of Bodhi, of course.

I had many a round at The Ridler that night, in addition to The Onion before and Satellite after, so the next morning was painful (sorry, plenary speaker #2!), but it was a fun trip with good people, good eating, and good drinking.

    Thanks all here for facilitating!

Good to hear you enjoyed yourself. (And yes, No-Li's "Big Juicy" is one of the bigger misnomers in beerdom.)

Are you sure you had that pizza at Whistle Punk? They don't serve food and the adjacent restaurant doesn't do pizzas, whereas Iron Goat does, including a Thai Pizza. Glad you enjoyed wherever you were!

Oops! You’re right: Iron Goat it was. No wonder I couldn’t find that IPA on UT!

I never got to make it to WP, but hopefully my next trip allows that as well as a visit to Community Pint!

I'm guessing it was the Buzzsaw McThunder IPA. It was their first attempt at a hazy IPA (Greg Brandt, head brewer as well as one of the owners, did it under protest-he hates hazies, calling them "lazy brewing."). It came out way more juicy than hazy.

Agreed, although I do prefer it to Born & Raised.

It was Buzzsaw McThunder! I checked it on UT and expected higher ratings. Not hazy enough for the hipster masses, perhaps? Personally, I'm glad it came out juicier than hazy. I thought it was solid.

It's one of my favorites, along with their Mosaic hopped IPA, called Brick & Steel.

Heading to Spokane this weekend from CA. Haven’t been in a while. Anything new and exciting? Staying east in Liberty Lake and have access to a car so really anything lol.

Downtown, Whistle Punk is killing it, Iron Goat's "new" (since 2016) place a few blocks away is worth checking out and River City just reopened a tasting room around the corner from that. Little place up north called Humble Abode does nice hazys if you're into that, and there's always something interesting at Post Falls Brewing (10 miles east of Liberty Lake across the state line). Ditto for Perry Street on the lower South Hill, though they've been around for a while. Hidden Mother's taproom isn't open yet but anything you see from them is worth a try (they also just merged with Belgian-themed Selkirk Abbey on the other end of Post Falls, so beers from both breweries are on tap there). Beer bar wise, there's Community Pint as discussed above. (I'm sure Woemad will be weighing in with more.)

Thanks for the info. I have been to most you listed. Maybe I should be trying Whistle Punk

So far I've only been once but everything I had was very solid, plus the owners are good people.

I make it out there every week or two before or after Humble Abode. So far they have been solid on everything. And always a couple good guest taps as well (Lush and I think Bodi this last weekend?).

Precious Things seems to have a pretty good relationship with Hidden Mother as well, judging by Candace's fb posts, so I wouldn't be surprised to see guest taps from them as well.

Yes! You are correct. I had forgotten The Hidden Mother. They complete the trifecta of guest breweries represented there so far.

Only place I ended up going was Post Falls Brewing. Decent beer but pretty awesome place. And had to hit up the filling station in CDA for some B-Bomb on nitro!
