    Ok gang, it's hot at the beach. I'm kicking off the weekend with a super fresh Growler of Alpine Nelson with some neighbors. What's on tap fellow BA's ?

    This is about 30 minutes too early but what the hell. Bouncing between my first six pack of Modus Hoperandi and (to celebrate the return of Lagunitas to Southern Illinois) a six pack of Sumpin' Sumpin'. It's going to be a deliciously hoppy night.

    I paired a steak with Lazy Magnolia Southern Pale Ale earlier. I just cracked open a bottle of Victory Storm King Stout.

    Had bombers of Pretty Things Fluffy White Rabbits Hoppy Triple and Heavy Seas Letter of Marque 2012 Triple Wit, and just now finished a bottle of Blue Moon Spiced Amber Ale which was a lot better than I thought it was going to be. Not sure what I'll have next!

    Ah it's been one long week, first up was a Lagunitas Investigation Shutdown Ale and then a Monk's Café Flemish Sour Ale, it was my first sour beer and definitely pretty tasty, I may have to try some more of that style. At the moment I'm having one of these which I've been craving for a while.....

    I found Monk's Cafe to be lacking the true sour "punch" that I've come to know and love. Get ready for a ton more sour when you fully move into the style.
